Xena Tomoshibi strode into the Committee building like she owned the thing. Standing at a height of six foot three, she was tall, and had a lean build. Despite being in her forties, she easily looked to be in her early thirties, late twenties. The Matriarch of the Tomoshibi family was a red head, with jaw length hair, and predatory green eyes that was the same shade as Jun's, though like the teenager's, they changed shades in accordance with her mood. She wore a simple red blouse and black skinny jeans, with blue sneakers rounding out her outfit. The woman gave off a terrifying vibe, making most people want to run for the hills. And those that didn't, cower under her gaze. And that wasn't even her flexing her power, but suppressing it like normal. But she was also intelligent and logical. She wasn't here to start a fight or anything like that, despite the feeling she gave off. She was here to talk to Alexander Kerensky and Aaron about her son.

After being escorted to his office, she knocked and awaited permission to enter. Alex was the first to rise and greet her. "Long time no see, Mrs. Tomoshibi." Xena shook his hand and gave a thin smile.

"Pleasure as always, Mr. Kerensky." Turning her head to the other person, she went up to greet him as well. "Xena Tomoshibi, Jun's mother. My husband unfortunately couldn't make it...something about the City Commissioner and the Mayor calling him in for an emergency meeting or something. Sadly, sometimes the Chief of Police can't get a break, even when he deserves one. He trusts my judgement, however, and will support it whatever it is." Like with Alex, she rose a hand for a firm handshake...very professional. Upon sitting down, she crossed her legs and put her hands in her lap and leveled a gauging stare at the man, like he was a puzzle that needed solving. "You wished to talk with me about my son. I can only assume that you wish for him to take a greater role. And that answer is no. However, seeing as assuming can sometimes make an ass out of u and me, let's hear it." She went straight to the point.

The woman who walked in was clearly a cut above the average human being, and her demeanor and appearance both reflected it. Given her age she wasn't exactly hard on the eyes either, but that was another story for another time that Aaron didn't really have time to get into at the current moment. She seemed to present herself quite well, and as Alex and her exchanged pleasantries Aaron hung back slightly, not wanting to interfere in a meeting between what he presumed to be two close friends. As Alex finished with his pleasantries and the woman, apparently named Xena, gave him a rather thin smile and a loose handshake, Aaron extended his hand for one of his own. "Pleasure to meet you Mrs. Tomoshibi, and it's quite alright. I can imagine how busy one in that position must be, I would've been more surprised had he showed up if I'm to be honest with you." Aaron smiled cordially but remained business-like in his demeanor.

The woman was straight to the point and to be blunt that was probably for the best, but Aaron was as well. "I won't lie and attempt to backpedal by declaring that those aren't in fact my interests, they very much are. With that in mind? If you don't mind I'd like to discuss the matter anyway. Now, are you familiar with the biblical story of Samson?.."

They exchanged pleasantries, and the man so far proved to not be a fool by not backpedaling, instead fully admitting to be the purpose of the meeting. Raising an eyebrow, Xena grinned, almost amusedly. "Wasted potential. Is that your fear with my son? When I was his age, I certainly wasn't as strong as he is. But neither you or I is God, if there is such a thing that equals the Christian version...I'm pretty sure if they knew the truth, they'd shit themselves at how badly they fucked up their meaning...as well as their own book, but that's a soap box for another time. He's at that stage where his fullbring needs to evolve to get stronger. And that is the real question.

I do have a stipulation, by the way, that my son and I agreed to when he joined. If he was able to hit me just once, or his father for that matter, in a proper one on one sparring match, he'd be allowed to change divisions and take a more active role."
Alex looked surprised at this. "Don't be so shocked, Alex. You knew when you rescued him he had considerable potential...it's the evolving his fullbring that is the problem."

Alex spoke up next. "Is there a way to accelerate that?" That earned him a glare that actually made him shrink back a little. The woman was terrifying with her predatory eyes and blood red hair.

"Not safely." She answer cryptically.

The woman raised an eyebrow seeming amused and perhaps even a bit happy with Aaron's forthcoming attitude. "Wasted potential is my exact fear for your son Ms. Tomoshibi, and I completely agree that he's hit a bit of a glass-ceiling if we don't push his progress a bit.." Aaron listened to the exchange between Alex and the woman, and was rather amused at how it almost seemed as though Alex had become a bit more squeamish with the idea of it, or it could have been the fact that her presence seemed to minimize him. It was like a hawk and a mouse and the dynamic was amusing on a multitude of levels. Nonetheless, Aaron waited for them to drag him back into the conversation, not wanting to interrupt the two's discussion.

The man barely hopped in, confirming that was what he was getting at. And mentioned that her son has indeed seemed to have hit a glass ceiling if he wasn't pushed. But otherwise said nothing. "I'm not sure if you just want to push him to become stronger. I think he's at that point where pushing him isn't going to do much good...at least not from within. If an enemy pushed him on the other hand, that's a different story. Which is why I said "safely" on accelerating his fullbring evolution. The problem with sparring matches, at this point, is that while it does give him combat experience, it doesn't push him in the right way...in his heart, he'll know you'll pull your punches just enough not to kill him, even if you have that intention. And should you follow through on that and do actually accidentally kill him, you'll be hearing from me and have a royal mess on your hands. But that's besides the point.

Do you have a plan to actually do this? Or are we just gonna leave it up to chance for an Espada to come here or close to where Jun is at the time and let it play out, and if need be, interfere? I also ask what happens if he can't summon his powers, but still has his enhanced strength and speed and still able to perform kido? Because that seems like a possibility based on previous experience for a major power upgrade after a particularly trying time for us it seems. It isn't a test of conviction or resolve that Jun needs, or pride even...he has plenty of those...so it has to be something else to trigger the evolution...but what that is is beyond me."
She shrugged. Alex didn't seem to have an idea on that one. So it rested on Aaron to sell her a plan.
