CAPTAIN of DIVISION NINE
Captain Minamori hears the request from Captain Melk and nods. This was also something he wanted for himself though he wasn't exactly sure when the best time to accomplish this would've been but then again, who truly knows when is a good time to bring bad news to those you trust and put your life in their hands on a daily basis? With everything that has happened to his Captain Commander, he doesn't truly want to add more on top of that but depending on how she views this whole entire thing....he actually may get off with a little better than he expects. She does look at things a lot differently than most due to her being cut off from the outside in her young age and for so long in her life. This actually could do Shingen a huge favor in regard to her views of his situaiton.

After thinking in his own mind a bit about how his situation may end up after delivering the news to Akane, Shingen comes back to his senses and focuses on Kaede. His friend just asked a question that does demand an answer and he can't just let it sit like that. "Well, to be honest, I feel both ways about it. I do want to tell her as soon as possible but I also would like to get rested up and put thoughts to how I want to deliver that news to her." He pauses for a brief moment. "I do understand that I can't accomplish both so I will have to choose one or the other. So, with that in mind, I choose that I just go and do it now. Just get it over with and whatever the Captain Commander says is what happens. I have my full faith in her and what she will say. We both had our hand in 'making her' so to speak. The last thing I believe the Gotei needs right now, from my standpoint, is the loss of another Captain..despite any changes he's undergone." As he finishes speaking, he picked up his empty cup and knocked up against Kaede's empty cup. "So..your thoughts?"

"If you feel comfortable with telling her now, then I agree completely. Who knows your return might make her feel better, even if you have changed on the outside." Kaede said, he was quite familiar with the whole Band-aid principal of just getting anything potentially unpleasant out of the way, hell the sooner the news was delivered the better it would be for everyone. If for nothing else then all of the information would be available for them to make their plans going forward. "Well if you are ready, I can bring you there now, it will definitely cut down on the number of times you get stopped en-route."

If Shingen agrees, Kaede would escort him through where the shinigami had set up their temporary base all the way to Akane's room. "Well here we are, last chance to choose to freshen up first"

CAPTAIN of DIVISION NINE
Captain Minamori thought for a very brief moment over everything that has transpired to him, the situation that brought about those events, and how he truly feels about explaining everything to everyone those events are going to impact the most. After this, he stands with his eyes closed only to reopen them once he is at full stance again. "Alright Kaede....I have made up my mind and I will allow you to escort me to our Captain Commander to brief her on everything right this moment. As I like to say, the sooner you get it done, the better the results will become." says Shingen. At least, that's what he is truly hoping for the most in this situation for more than one reason for more than one person.

After making the journey to the makeshift Captain's Quarters, Kaede asked if Shingen wanted to and last minute freshing up before going in to see her. Shingen politely shook his head as he has everything he needs for this particular conversation inside of him already. The important thing at this juncture is to drive home a very convincing point that will win him the conversation and get things back on track between him, her, and his division. One step at a time is all it takes. "Captain Commander. Pardon us for interrupting but I have an urgent matter that needs your attention and declaration of acceptance if it will be allowed." says Shingen as he address Akane after entering with a bow.

Akane was in her office, well what counted for her office at least, in the midst of some deep thought. Her signature red scarf entangled in her hand is it tended to be when she was anxious or on edge. It was only now that she was broken from her thoughts as Shingen entered. Though as he had chosen to simply barge into her office without knocking it seemed her hand went right to the ornate hilt of her zanpakuto, apparently the young woman was very much on edge. She didn't recognize him, even by his spiritual pressure, and even as she spoke he would get the feeling that the wrong answer would end up poorly for him. "Why don't you tell me who you are first" It wasn't a question, but an order. The returning Captain would find himself locked in her gaze, her cold blue eyes threatening to burn right through him if he wasn't careful. It seemed like a lot had changed in his absence, she wasn't the little girl she had been before the attack by Ika and CHAOS.

Kaede would step through the door right behind Shingen, hearing his spiel and the red-headed Captain Commanders response, it came out a lot harsher than the captain of Squad two had ever heard her before, though he supposed that he could not blame her, as in appearance, and pressure Shingen might be a total stranger to her. Interjecting with his hands up passively, Kaede would make the introduction he had intended to make upon their arrival, well before Shingen barged into her temporary office that is, "I am sorry Akane Sou-taichou, this is Shingen, captain of squad 9 he had an interesting mission that he would like to report to you about."

CAPTAIN of DIVISION NINE
Captain Minamori raised up to see the eyes of his Captain Commander solidly locked upon with her hand at the ready to draw her blade at moment's notice. On one hand, it was greatly reassuring that her reflexes were not just intact but up to snuff. On the other hand however, to be the one on the other side of those reflexes isn't a very comforting feeling...despite the circumstances you were already walking through the door with. Yes, quite the load to bear when you are a Captain of Gotei 13 Court Guard Squad and to say the present situation of your entire force isn't in the greatest would be a GREAT understatement. That actually what Shingen was here to discuss with the Captain Commander...until she jumped into defense mode. He can't really blame her however as with everything going on, how could she truly trust and decipher friend from foe? Tell a truly honest endeavor and gesture from a falsified attempt to get close enough to her to take her life? The honest truth is that while she had to make these judgements on a daily basis enough as it was, the stakes are even higher and with next to nothing to lose. It almost enough to put you in another state of mind if you think about it long enough.

Because of that, Captain Minamori was very grateful for being sent on the mission he was sent on almost immediately after arriving in the World of the Living. He was able to keep his wits about him since he had been here but he wasn't able able to prevent everything...and this upcoming conversation with his Captain Commander is certainly proof of that. "Commander. Please allow me to explain everything to you. Even my barging served a specific purpose this day but before we get to that, I must start from the beginning in order for anything to make any sense to you." he begins. Shingen clears his throat quickly and starts afterwards. "After we arrived here in the World of the Living Commander, you had me summoned for a private conversation. During this conversation, you gave me a mission that I couldn't share with anyone else because I needed to head out and return as quickly as possible after performing it. The reason you chose me over any other shinigami that actually is faster than I on their feet would be the experience of time that I hold above most others for the amount of time I spent here. Due to that, I didn't disagree and quickly prepared myself for the mission before leaving as you wanted me to leave as soon as possible. Soon there after, I was in the middle of the mission when I decided that I wanted to drown some of my own personal sorrows of the recent events with losing the Gotei." Shingen began and took a breath to pace himself. He then picked up again, "I was pulled into a bar by a woman. She ended up being no ordinary woman as I learned later on. Instead, she was a vampire and she was being hunted by a very powerful man by the name of Desmond. During this particular day, he finally caught up to her and found us in this bar and he began to not only lay hands on the woman Vamp but also other human bystanders. I couldn't just stand by and let this man abuse innocent people so I intervened only to be cut off by him. Just when he was about to kill the Vamp woman, I insulted him which apparently pulled some trigger inside of him and caused him to pull his attention away from her and onto me again. However, he didn't just outright attack me this time around and instead sought to cause some kind of soul destruction technique but it backfired. Instead of my soul being destroyed, his and mine are now joined and we share this one body as our bodies mixed traits to form into what you see before you now. My soul will be the dominant soul in this vessel but Desmond does have moments when he can and will take over...physically. This is why you feel such a difference in my spiritual signature. Every part of me is different, even down to my zanpaktou due to the difference of my spirit. By the way, the reason for me just barging in like that was to see if you could see who I was my spiritual pressure, even with the slight difference. It's not too far off and yes, you do have a right to question it due to the fact that it is different but overall, it is still the same...at least, while I'm in control. When Desmond has control, it's completely different. So, it was a test of my Captain Commander's senses and analytical skills." Shingen came to a stop for a moment as he caught his breath while looking his Commander over to see if he could see signs of her reactions. "As for the results of the mission itself are concerned, most powers here either don't have the man power to help us or don't want to help us with a flat refusal. So we are essentially on our own. The best thing we can plan for right now are worst case scenarios when we march back up to reclaim our home while praying for and keeping the best scenarios in mind and heart. Finally, I volunteer to lead the march into Gotei." finished Shingen as he locked eyes with his Captain Commander. He knows in his heart that in this very moment he has no true right to be looking her eye to eye and should be looking at the floor for his miserable performance in returning with any kind of positive news from the World of the Living but he also is still a Captain that will live up to who and what he swore an oath to. The last thing he would need to be melting to the floor in a pile of crap at this Captain Commander's feet just because he failed one mission when he has a lifetime of missions ahead of him. A fire was burning within Shingen and he damn sure wants to feel one burning within his Captain Commander.

Akane's hand didn't move from her blade, even when Kaede had shown up behind the man who turned out to be Shingen. Luckily for Shingen though, Akane had a lot of trust in Kaede and tended to listen to him, so she was a lot less on edge than she could have been. Regardless, she would listen to his story. Not remembering sending anyone on a mission like that, though if it had been soon after they had arrived here the girl would have been recovering and probably not in the best state of mind. She wasn't going to take any of the blame for this transformation, as it sounded he had very much gone wrong due to his own mistakes.

However, he would finally finish and volunteer himself to lead the charge back into the Soul Society. "No, you won't" She stated simply "I will be doing that myself." There was no arguing with her, it was easy to tell by the tone of her voice. "As for your state. If you can't control this Desmond, and it hurts anyone... I will kill you myself. Understood?" It seemed very much out of character for Akane, in fact before now she wouldn't have even had such a thought. He was lucky she didn't just lock him up now and completely avoid this happened, so she had at least a little faith in his ability to control this extra soul. "Is there anything else?"

Kaede had stepped back, as to not be between Akane and Shingen while they spoke, he listened to Shin's account of what happened to him again, not noticing any discrepancies between what he was told earlier, though he noticed that he seemed to give Akane a slightly more detailed account of the events. And his findings, which were not great, though the fact that he was willing to lead the charge right into the heart of Soul Society was something worthy of respect.

Akane's reaction to his suggestion of him leading the charge was to be expected, she had been feeling like a failure, not worthy of her role as the Captain Commander, so the fact that she wanted to take this as a chance to prove herself, not only to those that work under her, but most importantly to herself was not a surprise to Kaede at all. Her reaction to Shingen's state was also kind of to be expected, if out of character for the sweet red-headed Akane that Kaede had helped train, but it was relatively the same kind of reaction that he himself had. So yeah this meeting went about as well as one could hope.

CAPTAIN of DIVISION NINE
Captain Minamori listened to his Commander but his feelings did not change whatsoever as she had absolutely no clue where he was coming from with all of his emotion and desire. None of this was happenstance and showoffness on his part to try to win her over only. Who would lie to themselves by thinking that hey wouldn't want to win over their Commander from any aspect of the situation however, that part of it was all on the backburner for Shingen. His major focus was entirely upon himself and the things that he lost that fateful day which all led to the current events that he is enduring now. All of which are all burning unsizable flames within not only Shingen's heart and mind but the very core of his soul. So much so, that now that he thinks back upon it...perhaps it was those very same flames that attracted that woman to him. The very same who who unintentionally introduced Desmond and almost cost him his life.

As far as direct contact with the Commander was concerned, he definitely listened to what she had to say....but he didn't pay much of it regard due to two things. The first being that, he WILL be leading a force that day, no matter what she has to say on it. He lost things that he WILL reclaim once they return. The second being that, he has heard more than enough doubt in terms of his 'relationship' with Desmond. Her threat meant absolutely nothing to him as it is HIS existence that hangs in balance everyday while dealing with Desmond. She only said myriad words due to the mood and emotional state that she's in and is only taking Shingen's state as yet another negative thing that SHE has to deal with when it isn't even her burden to bear at all. "Are you done huffing and puffing?" asks Shingen without breaking his eye lock with her. "I have a Division to return to and the mess that will be to get them back in some kind of order in time for the Reclaim." he says to her while straightening up and putting his hands into his pockets.
