Their conversation was interrupted by the celebratory cheers of more than a dozen Arrancar. Nadroj knew what this meant; the launch was a success. Unfortunately the moment was bitter sweet. He needed to remain focused on this Calder character. He was far more interested now in learning more about this Arrancar than he was when he first intruded.

"So you've been discovered and wish to be...undiscovered?" He said, permitting himself a small smirk. The potential benefits that may result from forming a partnership with one so powerful almost called for their own celebratory event. Pieces of some vast plan began to fall into place and not even Nadroj could see the complete picture. He knew only one thing, in a realm where both cunning and power determined the lay of the land, having one this powerful at his side would only make him that much more of a force.

"I could help you escape their clutches easily enough." He continued. "In fact, they would never look for you again." He recomposed himself, and once again assumed his usual stoic expression. "Of course, the initial success of my plan would require certain sacrifices from you." He finished, allowing all implications of his words to sink in.

Calder was pleased to see the Arrancar understood his perspective. Calder had no inhibitions about making a partnership with the one before him if it brought him closer to his goal. Calder put his massive hand out to offer a handshake to the tiny Arrancar before him. It was almost comical that Calder's entire right arm was the size of this Arrancar but despite this Calder saw him as an equal. Calder spoke as he extended his arm.

"Success in anything cannot be achieved without sacrifices. Tell me what we must do."

El Cirujano opened his jaw as he threw his head back. A bulge formed at his belly and slowly worked its way up to his trachea, and eventually to his mouth. Before long saliva bubbled up past his lips and ushered in an earthen colored slug. The creature's size was roughly equal in size to his own forearm. He took the slug in his hand and gently moved his index and middle fingers between the eyes. The slug's mouth went from something barely noticeable in size to something large enough to hold Nadroj's entire form. From the opening, a humanoid form fell. The slug then crawled along his arm before finally resting at his shoulder. After the cloud of fine sand particles settled, the identity of the form was unmistakable. It was an exact duplicate of El Cirujano.

The duplicate laid face down, motionless until Nadroj lifted it with his free hand. "Making one of these that looks like you will be the easy part." He began, focusing intensely on Calder's face, reading it for any signs of confusion. "The rest will be up to you and must be implemented with surgical precision."

-Present Day-

A journey which spanned across several days brought Nadroj to his current location. El Cirujano now stood in the very place he met Calder three centuries ago. Of course, this was only done after making absolutely certain that he wasn't followed. The signal had been given and he knew in past dealings with the giant that he was a punctual character. Nadroj turned to fake the approaching giant, viewing him through the same eyes that he had when the two first met; his pupula duplex. After three hundred years, he hadn't physically aged. Still, there was something, different. There was something he couldn't quite decipher or even begin to put into words. There was something about the way that he moved.

Calder stood completely calm despite the horrific and disgusting events happening before him. He watched as the slug like creature regurgitated an essentially perfect replica of the Arrancar before him. Calder listened the man deliver his speech and understood completely the intent behind it.

"I don't think the latter will be an issue at all."

Present Day

Calder returned to the location where a conversation between himself and another Arrancar set in motion irreversible events 300 years ago. He moved with confidence towards the Arrancar. The texture of the Arrancar's reiatsu was the same even after all this time but it was stronger as well. Calder locked eyes with the Arrancar and was certain it was him. Not even the most impressive doppelganger could imitate the eyes of this Arrancar. The eyes that Calder would always remember. Calder stood before the Arrancar, a giant as he always had been, and remained silent. Calder hadn't spoke the first words of their first encounter and did not intend to do so this time either.

“Perhaps simply avoiding the Espada is no longer an option.” He said, cutting straight to the point. Directness was something Nadroj had learned they both appreciated, when such a thing was beneficial. “Maybe it never was the best course.” He continued. “Soon I will dawn the mark that I helped you to escape three centuries ago.”

There was much implied in his statements. First, that he could escape the Espada if he chose to. This was the most immediate meaning to be taken, given the history that the two shared. The second was that El Cirujano believed that there was something to be gained by working within the body that they both believed Hueco Mundo could stand to do without.

Calder respected the Arrancar's opinion on matters such as these. After all, he had helped him escape the markings of an Espada. Calder also understood what the Arrancar was implying and perhaps he was correct. Sometimes, the way to slay an unkillable beast is from within. Could the Espada be the same way? Calder was curious and wanted to know more.

"What did you have in mind?"
