Okami twitched lightly as he put a specific amount of reiatsu into Tsukiakari Shojo, in a very unique pattern, and thrust the tachi's blade into the air, turning it like a key to open a Senkaimon. He was currently in Karakura Town, far enough away that Ika wouldn't have a clue what he was doing, or wouldn't care, and he had sent a message with an unseated officer in the area back to the First and Twelfth Divisions to warn of his imminent arrival. He had somehow gotten clearance with codes that were hundreds of years out of date, and was allowed to come through. Really, he just hoped the newest Captain-Commander would be accommodating with his...rather unique needs at the moment. He remembered their first encounter, and it was quite embarrassing for him to say the least. He was dressed in his old, sleeveless Shihakusho, with his First Division Haori resting folded and tucked into his obi as a subtle reminder that he was, at one point, a highly respected officer that had earned the right to wear one. The markings on the inside of the coat were spectacular, considering the sheer number of commendations he held, but the only hint that it gave was when it swished in the slight breeze of his movements. Smiling at the familiar sight of a Hell Butterfly floating out to greet him, he walked through the Dangai and directly into the yard of the First Division. Nodding to a couple of the members that remembered him, and chuckling as a few rubbed their heads in remembrance of long-forgotten hangovers, he strode into the halls that he had once walked with a predatory grace.

Greeting the young female at the desk in the waiting room, he was ushered into Captain-Commander Rena Lisola's office with a warning to sit quietly and await her return. Sighing lightly, Okami slung his Haori over the back of his chair and stared mournfully at the desk he had once sat on, chatting with his best friends. Aki and Meiyo were long gone, and being in the office where they had worked for the first time since his exile was overwhelming. Staring at the empty Lieutenant's desk in the next room briefly before returning it to the one used only by the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13, his normally-cheerful demeanor was ruined by the light frown adorning his scarred face, and the tears streaking silently down it's contours. He didn't have it in him at the moment to go through the desks like he had planned. Perhaps he'd just ask Rena if she'd found what he was looking for, once she got back to the office. Hey needed to apologize for his behavior previously, and rummaging through her belongings certainly wasn't the way to do it...

Rena walked in all happy for once, as she just got done dealing with an important situation that would hopefully lead to resolving a certain major issue for Soul Society and free up some of their resources. She was even whistling it was such a good turn of events.

Then she saw the dude sitting infront of her desk waiting for her to come back.

Okami, a vizard, was in gotei, at her office no less, and was just waiting there for her. The last time they met he had acted the arrogant ass and forced Rena to defend her honor against him. Which funnily enough ended with him looking bad, but why was he here now? Ika always talked to her in person. So either he was dead, unlikely, lazy, likely, or Okami was here for something else.

She glared at him and stopped everything as she cleared her throat at him and moved to her desk, "You better have a good reason for dowsing my mood with your presence. We didn't exactly have good terms last time we met."

Okami started slightly as Captain-Commander Lisola walked into her office, seemingly cheerful until she saw him. He didn't blame her. He was definitely an ass the last time they had spoken, and he regretted every moment of it. Steeling himself for what was about to happen, Okami sighed and bowed politely to the new Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13. "Hello, ma'am. I...came to retrieve something, but I figured it would be best to ask if you'd found it. First, though, I wanted to apologize for my behavior the first time we'd met. I was a complete ass, and it was horribly out of character for me. If you'd met me 250 years ago, I doubt we'd have even had that problem. The years haven't been kind...I digress. I didn't come here to waste your time. I have something to ask of you, and something to tell you. It's...important. Very important."

Shifting slightly in his chair, Okami met the young woman's eyes with a steel that he hadn't had in years. "I guess I'll just ask my question first, and we'll go from there. Have you found an old leather journal in your office, marked with the seal of the Shiba Clan? It...It belonged to my mother, before she was killed in the final battles of the Second Great War. I remember it from when I was a kid, because she always said that she'd tell me what was in it when I was older. She was the only person who knew who my dad was, and she wrote it in that book. She had hidden it in here before she died, and no one had found it by the time I left. It always left Aki in fits of laughter when I'd search through the cupboards in the back, as if I'd missed something. I have a feeling it might have been in the back of a desk drawer at one point, but I'd never gotten that far. I have the key to the Kido spell put on it to keep it closed, I just need the book itself."

Chuckling and shaking his head, Okami looked back up and waited for Rena's response. Hopefully she'd understand that his coming to her to ask for this was a massive show of trust and a bit of a peace offering between the two. He hadn't even told Ika about this, and tried to keep it to himself for his entire life. It was a point of discomfort for him, and he hoped that he could get something sorted out. If Rena could help with that, it would definitely do a lot to help his self-esteem.

"Yeah whatever here," Rena pulled a drawer open at her desk without getting out of her chair, pulled out an old book and tossed it at him, "I thought it was silly to leave it here, but that's just my opinion. There couldn't be a worse place to leave it. Had I been inclined to not respect privacy I could have easily had this thing cracked open to know what the hell was inside."

She crossed her arms and kicked her legs onto her desk at this point, "I wouldn't mind if you'd do me a favor since I'm being so easily forthcoming with something I by no means had to give you however. I don't see this being an issue. I want an eye on Ika Mazi. I don't particularly care what he does with those who rally around him, but I'm being pressured to at least keep some form of a tab on him without constantly going to see him myself."

"Can you do or find someone who can do, this thing for me? You don't have to. You are not of Gotei. but I am stuck doing the paperwork usually assigned for 47 people. My ability to do things while running Soul Society on a day to day basis is tied for now. That'll change soon but for now.."

"This is all I can do."

Okami smiled thankfully at her when she handed it over, chuckling at her dismissal of the barrier as he kept one eye on the Captain-Commander. Biting his thumb hard enough to draw blood, he ran it along the grooves that marked the Shiba Clan seal, causing it to glow silver with his reiatsu before opening. Blood seals were uncommon, and notoriously tricky to open without being the one it was attuned to, or at least related. Sucking on his wound until it closed, he flicked through the pages as he listened to the younger Shinigami's request, looking back up as soon as he had found the page he was most interested in. Eyes narrowed, he set the book upside-down to retain his page as a serious expression came over his face. Okami didn't like getting serious too often, but when he did he found that his subordinates tended to hang onto his words for dear life since it was such a rare thing. "Captain-Commander Lisola, how could you have read my mind so thoroughly? Your favor is actually eerily related to what I want to tell you. Ika...is planning on overthrowing the Soul King."

Sitting back with a sigh and closing his eyes, the Vizard rubbed the bridge of his nose and thumbed the scar along his right cheek in an attempt to calm down as he spoke. "He's enlisted the help of the Espada, given that he worked with them in the last war, and the Cero was all too willing to oblige. Something about wanting a better world for Hollows. The two of them meet every so often, and Ika occasionally grumbles that Graven is "too human". I'm not sure what that means, exactly, other than that he's become accustomed to emotions beyond fear, hate, and other negative things. You hear rumors, though, and if even half of them are true then he's older than the Gotei 13 itself. Not someone I'd mess with, and Ika's all too willing to play nice, it seems."

Okami's brow furrowed at this, and his eyes clouded over slightly. His Zanpakuto began to make cooing noises in the back of his mind to settle him down, but it wasn't really helping much. Clearing his throat, he finished his explanation. "He'd have my hide if he even knew I had told you this much, but I don't care. My loyalties have always lied with the Gotei, and I'm sure he knows that I hated having to leave. Bastard...Well, I'm definitely willing to continue this little game for you. If you wanted, I could even give Ika false information in return, so long as it had a grain of truth to it. Makes it that much more believable."

Resettling in his seat, he picked the journal back up and skimmed through, humming a bit as he found what he was looking for. "On to lighter topics, I think I found what I was looking for! And the winner of "Best Father of the Last Three Millennia" goes to...Wow. I REALLY wasn't expecting that one...Huh. Says here that my dad was Akira Tanaka, the first Captain-Commander...Damn. There goes any jokes about absentee parents I could have made."

Completely sober, and a little bit shell-shocked by that discovery, the Shiba Clan Head turned to the current Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13. "So, uh...Do you mind if I go take a walk around before going back? It's been a while, and I don't really want to deal with the other Vizard for a couple of hours. Clear my head, ya know?"

Rena waved a hand after listening to him reply to her request and give her the information he desired to, she was trying extremely, almost un-rena like levels of extreme, hard to keep her face poker blank. She was succeeding even more thoroughly than she could have believed possible, "An odd coincidence I believe. Had it not been for pressure from my captain's and the nobles I probably would have tried to deal with this in another manner. as for your request I will have to assign a captain to escort you around. I can't allow the vizard to simply wander without one as it would cause confusion and probably a fight, however as long as you have your escort there is no reason you could not take a walk. Did you have anyone in mind? If not I will simply pick one at random that I believe isn't too busy."

If anything. The absolutely deadpan that her reiatsu was at was a dead give away that she had not only gone up and beyond the levels of anger she believed was normal for her. But she was so calm and collected about the betrayal it was too obvious it had effected her. However that was nothing for Okami to know or deal with. It was something that showed Rena knew what had to be done and although she had plans coming to fruition soon about making an armed trip to Hueco Mundo that would have to be put on hold while she took responsibility for both the actions of her predecessors for not capturing the exiles sooner and her own actions of letting them be since they hadn't been doing anything "wrong".

Rena had played at being lackadaisical long enough it seemed. Now was the time to start doing more than just the paperwork side of her job as Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13 Court Guard Squads. Anyone with the foolish desire of attacking the Soul King, the one who created the shinigami to protect the soul cycle in the first place, would be crushed without mercy.

Okami frowned a bit as he considered Rena's words before shaking his head to clear out his uncomfortable thoughts. Smiling once more, the sensitive skin around his scar prickling slightly, the Shiba Clan Head would respond with the best answer he could give. "Well, given that I'm going to be doing some spy work for you, I doubt it would be a good idea for me to stay for too long, so your Captain shouldn't really need to be away from the office for more than about two hours. I kind of want to make sure that my family estate is doing well, and maybe stop by that sushi place down the road...If you could just call someone that isn't busy, that would be nice, ma'am. I really don't know who is who anymore, and if half the rumors I've heard are true, then the people I DID know aren't really around anymore. I wouldn't suggest Captain Aran, though! The one time we met, he seemed a bit more interested in attacking me than our shared enemy, a human named Accelerator. I hope he didn't get caught in the blast when I used a last-ditch attack. Apparently whatever abilities that human had weren't able to deflect an attack as strong as Goryutenmetsu, but it didn't kill him. A shame, really, especially after he crucified me above the Vatican. He just has no class..."

Raising his right hand, the Captain-Commander would be able to see the scar punching through his palm and through the back of his hand. It had been healed perfectly, but Okami had decided to keep the scars as a reminder that he needed to get stronger. Well, he kept most of them. The one on his pelvis that Ika had made while taking selfies had been removed. Spoofed pictures of "Michael Jackson" or no, he really didn't need THAT as a reminder when there were plenty of photos. Ika had made sure to send him one of each. Damned lunatic...
