Ika had been hearing reports, and occasionally had been sensing the presence of one too many Rogue Shinigami in his little area. He wouldn't mind if he had at least met the person first, but she seemed to be sneaking about and taking her good old sweet time, so come hell or high water Ika was going to attract the woman and converse with her, to decide if she would be a pain in his ass or not. He walked outside, and immediately began releasing Reitsu, hoping to lure her to his location for a conversation. If she behaved and he simply disliked her? He'd have her leave the area. She wasn't going to resist regardless, as he could tell she was barely Captain Level, and he'd clean her up with relative ease if she tried anything.

If she wanted to join him, or sought protection through means of shared domain with a being that was still her superior? He may allow for it, and that was of course assuming she didn't just join him outright, not like he actually had any form of racial preference for his little rag-tag group of misfits. He didn't know much about this person, other than the fact that they had been around for at least a couple of days. Probably just to feel the area out, Ika didn't know nor did he care. He simply wished the woman would appear before him, so they could get this over with. He lit a cigarette, and waited.

Seralin was actually having quite a wonderful day today. She had taken a vacation out to Bogota, Colombia for a few days and so far it was turning out great. She wasn't much for taking in scenery in different regions since she had seen most of everything, but in this moment it felt like she was reliving her first time to this part of the world. Granted, this time she wasn't here to record history or any sort of civilization. That was l ready set up and monitored. No, she was out here to look for this group of rogue Shinigami and Vizards she had heard of. The fact that her vacation was during that was a pure coincidence.

She was walking down one of the many streets, casually taking in the scenery like anyone else did. "Well it's not like I could ask-" She was halted upon feeling a rather strong Spiritual Pressure, one that she was certain belonged to a member of this group. 'Well... if it isn't, I can always run away back to my shop.' She walks over to an empty ally, and once clear ejects herself from her gigai. The false body becomes formless and folds itself up into a single one inch cube, just as she designed, leaving Seralin in her Shinigami form. She could still feel the signature as she started running towards it, it was like a beacon luring her to the open. She didn't like how that played out in her head.

Playing to her paranoia, she decides to make sure she is prepared. She stops a block away from where she feels the energy before focusing on herself. "Bakudou number 81..." She brings her hand up and to the back of her neck, her flat palm facing in. "Danku." A small transparent barrier forms around the back of her neck, ready to expand for its use once needed. She keeps her Zanpakutou sheathed, figuring that she might look too hostile if she had a weapon out. First impressions were everything to her, and in this instance she wanted to be taken as someone that is polite, but also not someone that walks in unprepared. Nobody is stupid enough to walk into a potentially hostile fortress without making sure you're ready, right?

As of this moment, Seralin feels herself to be moderately ready. She is sure that her Danku could take a single attack from whoever this person was, but didn't want to gamble past that. She uses Flash Step once again, coming to a stop this time a good ten feet in front of the male the spiritual pressure belonged to. "I must say, if you wanted to get my attention there are ways of doing it that aren't so flashy. You could have always had someone under you come and escort me." She gives a small bow to the man before her as she gives her greeting. "My name is Seralin, Shinigami and ex-Captain of Squad 4. I was not banished or exiled but instead left on a whim. I just didn't feel like serving anymore." She straightens back up once complete, her brown orbs gazing to the man and waits for a reply. Surely he would appreciate her polite greeting, it was certainly better than some brute coming at him, pretending to be tougher.

As Ika once more took a drag off his cigarette he couldn't help but smile as he felt the presence of the lone Shinigami slowly approaching him from the North. (Calling out a direction, sue me xD) As he continued to do his best to sense the Shinigami and find out where it exactly it was coming from, he had to think then of the proximity of said Shinigami. When he began to ponder it he realized that she was probably coming from the city, and that she would certainly take a little while to arrive in his given proximity. She seemed to stop momentarily and expel a significant amount of Reitsu all at once, the hell was that all about..? He shrugged his shoulders and continued waiting for her arrival, hoping that maybe, just maybe, she would be a worthwhile point of interest for the day.

He wrote off her seemingly slow and concise movements, her odd mannerisms of coming to him as her being cautious as opposed to any form of attempt to be a pain in his ass. She was finally fairly close and within an instant used flash step to close the gap between him and her, effectively arriving before him, approximately ten feet from his current position. As he was about to speak himself, he smirked. It appeared that she was a smart-ass much in the same mold that he was, and as she bowed he began to speak himself. "Well, I might've considered had I thought you would blow me, granted if you came any closer you would be thus that might not be a good point.. Besides, I like flashy, helps pass the time, and is generally more effective than people like to think.. Example, you're here now, for all I know had I sent someone to gather you up I'd be gathering up their corpse right now, as opposed to this.. lovely conversation we're having." He said all of this with the same sly, knowing grin he always wore. Being as powerful as he was, lacking rivals as he did certainly afforded him an air of confidence, which often manifested itself as arrogance..

He listened as she told him her name, and then gave her fairly impressive credentials and more or less told him her life story. BORING. "My name is Ika Mazi, former Captain of Squad 12, exiled because a certain Captain Commander attempted to kill me due to this.." he pulled his hand down over his face to reveal a mask before he swiped it back up to take it off, "And he lost his life in the attempt." He smirked before continuing "That's understandable, I didn't really like many of the procedures or patterns of that place myself, frankly, I thought the structure was rigid, inefficient, and ineffective every step of the way.." The woman had brown eyes and appeared to be fairly expectant of a reply throughout this whole ordeal. Sure he was happy she wasn't some retarded brute that didn't actually understand it's place in the food chain, but he wasn't going to give her an inch until she actually deserved it, or required it.. For now Ika was mostly just playing it by ear..

A small smile comes to her face as she straightens up from her bow, taking in all that the male had said. "I have no idea why you'd be exiled for that mask, it looks pretty bad-ass." A shiver goes down her back at remembering what his spiritual pressure felt like when he pulled on that mask. "It also feels potent and powerful. It's odd that the Court Guard Squads would rather have risked having you as an enemy." She gives a small shrug of her shoulders, none of that mattered for the present moment. "I shall get right to why it is I came. I overheard some Shinigami back in Karakura talk about your organization, and thought I'd meet with one of your members to discuss me moving my book store nearby. Living under the nose of the Soul Reapers so far has kept me safe so far, but discovery is getting too close to comfort."

There was not a single lie spoken, for she had no reason to. It wasn't like she hasn't had a book store in Bogata before, however it has been quite a number of years. She was bound to be able to open a new store in that city, but if she had the support of this group it would make staying out of the Soul Society's grasp that much easier. Who knows, she might end up deciding to join if she liked the group enough. She'd have to wait and give it time however, jumping right into another group, she doesn't want a repeat of what she's still going through with the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. She had a feeling that this organization wouldn't be as lenient in their search, either. Her glance flickers around, looking to see if the male had anyone positioned to attack her should he give some sort of verbal or physical cue. She doesn't think this man do such a thing, but her paranoia always makes her question 'if'. Like what if she is wrong about his character and he is tricking her? What if he ends up trying to turn her in for leniency with the Shinigami? Maybe he will not agree with her about her book store and have her killed so their location remains safe? She wanted to trust this man, but by this point if habitually skeptical of everyone she first meets.

The woman seemed to smile as she straightened up from her bow, seemingly she had taken in all that he had said, and at the very least she didn't appear to be a killjoy.. She spoke with the sensual sarcasm Ika loved in a woman, it was a knowing and otherwise innocent brand, but it had very clear layers to it. "Ya know.. I was thinking the same thing in all honesty, then I realized the Gotei 13 largely consists of cowards and judge's without a jury.." She seemed to hasten her breathing ever so slightly when his Reitsu was exerted..  She then spoke once more, and he smiled towards her before speaking, "Well in fairness, no one has ever accused the judges of being smart, simply judicious in their nature.. Which is why I'm personally inclined towards the thought that the Gotei 13 would be best left to the past in more ways than one.." She seemed to shrug her shoulders, acknowledging to Ika at least in his eyes that none of that actually mattered at the current time..

After she had shrugged her shoulders, Ika listened once more and was more than a little curious as to what she had to say... When she had spoke, he couldn't help but be a little empathetic to her story, as it was seemingly the story with most recruits these days.. "I appreciate you being forthcoming, it is true that we have an organization here in Bogota, and I am the leader of said organization.. If your interests are true, I have a library section in our complex that needs filled, and I'd love to have you there!" He smirked before continuing, "And of course, those pesky Soul Reapers you speak of.. Let's just say.. the last time they sent someone after me was the last time they sent someone for a reason.. They apparently forgot who I was recently and sent a Captain to attack me.. I impaled her on her own Zanpakuto after putting a Cero through her lungs and dropped her off at the squad 4 barracks with a pretty large hint carved into her back in regards to what would happen the next time they crossed me.. So you have nothing to worry about so long as you're with me.."

She seemed to be telling the truth, and frankly, she didn't seem to be hiding much of a reason to lie to him.. Sure she was a Shinigami, but he had met plenty in recent years who not only peaked his interest, but turned out to be reasonable beings as well.. She did however come across as being highly skeptical of him, and somewhat distrusting.. She seemed to have her eyes glancing in various directions till Ika had enough.. "Okay, listen, didn't wanna make this a cockfight but.." Ika exerted the maximum Spiritual Pressure he could.. The woman would be if not immobilized completely helpless. He Shunpo'd behind her, "If I wanted your head or your hide, I'd have the one on a pike and the other I'd be wearing.." He sheathed his blade and Shunpo'd back to where he had been standing, attempting to lighten up in regards to his Spiritual Pressure, before continuing. "Now that all that horseshit is out of the way, care to walk with me Ms. Skeptical?"

She hadn't seen when the man moved, it sent a chill through her much like when he had put on his mask. The only difference was this time, she was more afraid of what this man was capable of. "O-of course, sorry... I did not mean to offend." She didn't like the feeling of how helpless she felt in that small moment, so if she could stay in this man's good graces she was prepared to what needed to be done. "May I ask where it is we are walking to?" She keeps her hand away from the hilt of her blade, resting her left hand on her hip as she walked instead of her sword hilt, a position that would have been the most comfortable to her. Normally she wouldn't care, but in a situation like this impressions would seem to hold a great deal of importance. If she wanted this extra security blanket, she would need to NOT basically offend the man she wanted it from by doubting him. She would need to control her paranoia and set it to the back of her mind. She could indulge it when it wouldn't cost her what it is she was here for and/or her life.

She walks over to stand beside where the male was, waiting for him to move before following. As much as she was scared of what this man was capable of, it calmed her to know that she would be safe living around here. She puts up an external level of calm, not wanting to be the type of person that would simply bend and become a kiss-ass at the first display of power. 'Of course, he could always be the person that likes that place kissed.' She let slip a giggle from that little thought before neutralizing her external expression again, waiting to continue.

The woman didn't seem to see him when he moved behind her, she seemed shocked when he appeared behind her, just like he had when he put on his mask. The difference this time was, that she seemed to be beginning to properly grasp the difference between the two of them in regards to strength.. Interesting. As she began her apologies, clearly scared shitless, Ika sighed, letting up on his Reitsu so that she could at least breath properly and not be scared to death of what he could do to her.. "You didn't offend me, you irritated me.. Nothing more, nothing less. I was making a point to you, in the hopes that you'd go along a little easier once I did so, wasn't exactly attempting to put the fear of God in you.. though it seems I may have done that anyway." He sighed a bit, before continuing..

She was still seemingly shaking off the haze of that moment, clearly not used to running into people that were as powerful as Ika was.. Then again, Ika wasn't exactly used to that either, so perhaps that wasn't just a "her" thing.. "We are going to my base, I'll show you where you can set up your little library/bookstore gimmick, and more importantly? I'll get you acquainted with the complex.. Shouldn't hurt for you to take a little look around, especially not if you plan on staying with us for a while.. which I would recommend by the way.." Poor girl was clearly still slightly traumatized by what had went on.. Maybe he had overdone it? As they got deeper into the jungle he smirked. "We're here.." wiping the sweat from his brow he typed in a code, and entered the sealed steel doors. "We've got air conditioning by the way, you might quite like that.."

She had expected just to get his approval for opening a book store over in the city, but this would be even better! This was a much greater level of security than she could have anticipated. Not only was it quite a bit away from the town, but it seems to be well hidden too. "I would very much appreciate a tour, and the cool air would be good for the books." She follows the man in, unsure on what to expect. It could have all metal hallways, if the steel doors were any indication. Was this like a bunker?

"Will I be allowed to perform any expansions upon the store? I've also got some personal stuff that I'd like to secure behind a tightly locked door. I'd be willing to show you what it is of course, that way you know what I'd be bringing in. However I'd like you to keep my twin projects a secret." She was starting to relax back down again, though the hallways gave her the chills. It wasn't the color of them or feel of the material, but it was the feeling of being cramped. She could tolerate it, so long as it wouldn't suddenly get dark. She let's her shoulders tense up a bit, her way of dealing with the slightly built up stress.

The woman seemed pleasantly surprised that he had granted her the ability to host a library/bookstore in his place, but he was happy to oblige. He would need to catch up on some required reading after-all, and he would hate to let such an opportunity slip away.. After-all, how many Captain level librarians was he going to find just strolling about? He didn't need to concern himself with that question anymore, because as far as he was concerned, he had found his librarian ! She seemed more than a little shocked with the security level Ika provided with his lovely infrastructure, but that was something to address for another day.. It was hot outside, and it was about time they avoided the sweltering heat of the jungle..

The woman spoke, declaring that she would appreciate a tour, and Ika couldn't help but smirk as he motioned for her to follow. "Leave the books in the chair in the far left corner over there, they'll be nice and cool over there.."As he said this, she followed him in, and presumably went about putting the books away with relative immediacy. She began to speak once more, asking a few more questions in regards to what she'd be allowed to do. Ika pondered for a second, before speaking. "Do what you want with the library, just be sure that it does not impede on anything else within our lovely little base here.. We have thin steel plates outside and a wooden interior, but both have Reitsu covering them to provide mild protection from our general interactions.." He sat down before continuing, "Store whatever you'd like here but be understanding of the fact that I won't allow anything to harm the inhabitants here.. If something you use involuntarily or voluntarily does so, there will be hell to pay.."He heard of the twin project as she loosened up, "What exactly IS the twin project?.." He leaned back in his chair, lighting a cigarette while awaiting her response..

She was a bit confused by his statement about her placing down books. Currently, she didn't have any on her. "I do not have any books on me, I was just treating this trip like a vacation. As for my projects, there are two that I'm working on, hence why I said twin." She does walk over and gently sits herself down on the seat which previously was going to be for any books she might have had. "The first is a little project of mine which I started when I first left the Soul Society. Starting with Ancient Egypt, I have been documenting the systems and events through history. These documents I like to keep safe in a large marble room which is kept air tight to prevent damage to the delicate paper. This project is completely harmless, clearly."

She sighs a bit, wondering how she would explain project number two. "As for the second one, it is an experiment using gigai." She waits a moment so it could sink in for the man before continuing. "The fact that a gigai could contain even a Captain-Class spiritual pressure, even if partly sealed, inspired me to tamper with it. If I could make a gigai that could synchronize perfectly with a Mod Soul, I could create artificial life that could act and live just like other spiritual beings." She crosses her right leg over her left, gently clasps her hands and patiently waits for his responce to all this. "What do you think?"
