Las Vegas. A damn hot place that Jun did NOT like. His blue button up shirt was open and he was wearing capris. Why they built a city in the middle of a damn desert he did not know. Oh, and now the place crawled with hollow. Or it used to. He fixed that. Mostly. Luckily the damn things liked the desert too much, and not so much the city proper. Actually, he just got done doing that. Luckily, it was only three hollows here, so it was easy as pie.

But where were the Shinigami stationed here? Slacking off and gambling! Shitheads, the lot of them! Forcing him to do THIER job. What happened to a killed hollow by a human? Did the soul go to Soul Society or what? Either way, the five foot six blond was slightly irritated at the lazy shits. He started on his way to get back to the city proper, muttering obscenities about them. And to think, he had some Shinigami blood in his veins! He hoped not all of them were lazy as hell...

Yawning as he stepped through the senkaimon smack dab in the middle of the city of sin, well relatively in the middle, seeing as he was standing on thin air, higher than all of the towering hotels on the strip. The red haired Shinigami could not sense the hollows he was there to clean up, nor could he feel the shinigami that was supposed to be assigned to the area. Granted that didn't mean much to itself, the poor sot could just be camping out in their gigai allowing it to dampen their pressure while recovering from his last assignment. Though from the readings that they had gotten in the Seireitei anyone shy of a green horn should not have taken so long in dispatching the hollows that had shown up, even when outnumbered three to one.

Shrugging slightly Kaede descended into an alley way before stepping out onto the main street, thankful for quite possibly the hundredth time that week that his Zanpakuto was without a physical form unto itself allowing him to walk around without so much as a weapon visible. While the shinigami may not be well versed in the ways of humans he knew his outfit tends to draw enough attention from the few that could see him, and a visible weapon tends to cause panic which just makes his job as the head of the second division even harder. Seeing as the hollows do not appear to be here anymore I supposed I should find the agent in the area and see what took him so long, and if need be bring him back for some re-education. Kaede thought to himself as he walked down the sidewalk, stepping around the people as he went.

Jun made it back to the city and was enjoying an ice cream when he saw a Shinigami. And from the looks of the hoari, a captain. That was...shocking. Maybe it was just their subordinates that need a good kick in the ass. The blond teenager walked calmly past the captain, while tapping at the guy's heel with his foot, more to signify that he could see him. Considering it was squad 2's symbol, he had an idea of why he was here. And Jun knew exactly where to find the guy's subordinate. To hopefully encourage the guy to follow him, he let off enough spiritual pressure as to hopefully entice interest, but not enough to affect those around him, or attract any unwanted visitors.

And with periodic bursts like that, he would hopefully lead the guy right to a casino/hotel/restaurant. It was a good place to eat, but he had to sneak in to eat in there. Finding a rather secluded spot where no one would see him talking to thin air, he'd point to the place. "I'm assuming you're looking for your lazy ass subordinate, he likes to hang out in there. You can thank me later for taking care of the hollow situation here. I'm heading back to my hotel room where it's cool."

He blurred away in a hurry, using his exceptional speed. Once he was in his hotel room, Jun just sat back and relaxed while cooling off. If the Shinigami wanted to talk to him, he'd find him easily enough. Still, to think a captain was sent over...maybe this would be a good opportunity to see where he stood against something other than a spiritual being? Although, it was awfully hot outside...

Kaede was winding his way through the crowd, wishing that there wasn't so much life energy to sift through to find the Shinigami he was sent here to find, he was called back to reality as a soft impact struck his heel, followed quickly by a slight spike in spiritual pressure. Turning around Kaede saw the retreating figure of a blond teenager, who seemed to be the source of the pressure he was feeling, and after Jun sent up the second flare of energy Kaede realized that the human was trying to lead him somewhere. If he is leading me into a trap, he will be in for quite the surprise. Following the blonde off to a secluded spot outside of one of those fancy resort hotel things that this town seemed to be full of, the human explained that he was the one that had taken care of the hollows, and the lazy slob that Kaede was here to clean up after was probably hanging out in the hotel. "Thanks for the Information, though I am pretty sure he isn't a subordinate of mine, In fact if he turns out to be just that, I will break his sword and throw him into the maggots nest myself."

Entering the hotel by walking through the front doors Kaede was able to refine his scan radius, locking in on the unique reiatsu of a shinigami within the building. Following the trail he picked up the captain of the punishment force's personality seemed to switch from his more jovial nature to serious, time for shite to hit the fan one. Luckily he found the slob he was sent there for slumped over the bar, an empty bottle of whiskey clutched in his unconscious hand, forcing the shinigami's soul from his gigai Kaede carted him back to the Soul Society, opening up the Senkaimon right there in the middle of the hotel.

Once back in the seireitei, he through the lush into a holding cell, wrote up his report, and arranged some funds for Jun as a compensation for the hollows he took care of in place of the fool of a Shinigami. Before leaving his office he went back to his report making sure that he put down a recommendation for the punishment, while not as severe as it would have been if the Shinigami had been in squad 2, it still would be an unpleasant punishment as he would be forced to be on sewer clean up duty for the next century.

Once Kaede was sure everything was in place he stepped back through the Senkaimon, with his Gigai this time. Which was identical to his spiritual form, with the exception to the outfit which was a simple pair of black jeans, white button up shirt neatly tucked in, and a dark red jacket [see spoiler in app]. Stepping through the Senkaimon back in the human world Kaede found that the sun had already set, following the Human's unique reiatsu to his hotel room Kaede knocked on door, the envelope containing about $200 in his hand.

Jun grinned at the comment before leaving. He'd have to double check with those dairies his family kept locked in the basement about Squad 2, and the rest of the Gotei 13. He'd spent the rest of his day not doing a lot beyond pigging out on the food. He didn't have a budget, and the food was good. Plus he was a human vacuum cleaner and a bottomless pit. So the table in his room was stacked with quite a few empty plates when that Shinigami knocked. Which actually surprised Jun.

"What are you doing here?" Then he looked at the envelope. Snorting, he pushed it away. "I get paid enough to clean up hollow messes. If you really want to repay me, you'd humor me a little bit. I'd imagine you're off duty by now." It would mostly be some questions...though he wouldn't mind an outsider's opinion on something. If he took the invitation inside, the five foot six teenager would close the door and sit in one of the chairs.

"I've always been a little curious about a few things about Soul Society. If my sources are right, that's a gigai, right? How does that thing work? What are some requirements to becoming a Shinigami after you show up in the Rukongai? Is Squad 2 really the Stealth force and the information gatherers and assassins of the Gotei 13? What's the current Captain Commander like?" That was just to start off. And his green eyes practically glowed, considering how good of a mood he was in.

Smiling at the human as he answered the door Kaede looked shocked as he pushed the envelope away. Huh alot of the reports consistently state that Human's are greedy by nature, I guess there are exceptions to every rule. Though as Jun explained that he gets paid to do it anyways Kaede understood slightly, it wasn't that he doesn't like being paid for it he just felt like he already had been. Accepting Jun's invitation inside he nodded at his host. "Well you said I could thank you later well it is later. And while I am technically never off duty, I am sure the Seireitei will not burn down if I am absent for a few hours, and if that seems to be the case they know how to contact me."

Pocketing the envelope to return back to where it belongs after their get together, he sat down in a chair near to Jun, listening to his barrage of questions and deciding how best to answer them. After a few moments to choose his words carefully he began answering, none of what he wanted to know was really confidential stuff, and while he couldn't go into specifics on some of it he could at least sate some of his curiosity. "Yes this is a gigai, and I am not sure the techno-magic-mumbo jumbo that goes into it, you can think of it as a sort of like a puppet that spiritual beings like me can possess to control. They are designed in a way that while we inhabit one we heal quicker, our stamina is also restored at a faster rate as well.

Once in the soul society it is rather simple to become a soul reaper, the only requirement to be elegible is some control over your own Reiryoku, the spiritual power that you naturally have inside of you. I think your humans might refer to it as Chi or Chakra, or one of hundreds of other names for the same thing. After that you apply to the academy, there you will be given your own zanpakuto, and the training needed to become a shinigami. Yes Squad 2 is the stealth force, I guess you could call us the Ninja's of the soul society. That last question is a little to loaded for my tastes however, you will have to meet her yourself one day to find out."
Kaede sat back, while wording his own question. He was curious about this human, more specifically how he was able to defeat hollows, never mind how he is able to do so easily enough to make a living out of it. "If you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you defeat those hollows? I am guessing by the fact that you weren't shoot first ask questions later, especially with that lazy bum you aren't a quincy."

Jun nodded at it all, noting that the soul reaper thought about the questions first, probably to see if it was anything confidential. Jun wasn't stupid...he wasn't going to ask something that would most likely be off limits. But it seemed the captain had a few questions for him. That made him smile. "The numbers at one time weren't so overwhelming that I had to bring out my abilities. I just sped around and punched or kicked them in the face. Quincy use spiritual bows and arrows, right? And are specialists in Reiryoku and spirit particle manipulation? Yeah, I'm not one of those...I'm what's called a fullbringer. I think my family has one or two quincy...but we're mostly advent humans and fullbringers...I'd have to double check. And even then, they ask questions first and shoot later. Besides...considering you're a captain...I severely doubt I could take you down."

He wasn't too specific. His family was huge, and most of them could see spirits and the like. A distant cousin Jun thinks is a quincy...but as a whole, his family were the ask questions first, shoot later types. And they don't usually interfere with the affairs of Shinigami...unless needed. "Question, does me punching/kicking/killing a hollow destroys their soul entirely? If so...how's that different if a Shinigami does the same thing and not use their swords? I had this passing thought earlier today...are we screwing up the soul cycle?"

He had one request after that, but the blond wanted to wait until after that question was answered. Although, Jun would imagine there just aren't enough of them doing it to screw up the soul cycle...but he didn't want to make assumptions. Those sometimes land you in trouble.

Kaede smiled as the human answered his question, Fullbringer eh, I should probably look into them a bit more, I vaguely remember something about their power manifesting through an item of some sort. Smirking at Jun's comment about not being able to take him down. "Maybe not in an Honest fight kid, but a knife, or in a quincies case, arrow to the spine would be enough to take out most any opponent no matter who they are, and if you can do so while their guard is down it doesn't matter how strong they are."

Listening to Jun's follow up question Kaede could just sit there like a deer in the headlights, he really didn't have an answer for that one. Kaede knew that his zanpakuto purified the souls allowing them to return to the cycle as if they never hollowfied. Well so long as the hollow wasn't an evil soul to begin with. Kaede was also aware that the quincies arrows, well all of their powers really reacted violently with hollows, causing their souls to be obliterated on destruction rather than cleansed. But what would happen if a regular human, or a fullbringer was to beat a hollow. Shrugging away the train of thought, filing it away into things he will have to check with the R+D department on he figured he should tell Jun something. "I am sorry to say that off hand I do not have an answer for you. Though I do know that if you are screwing with the soul cycle you will be warned as such before actions are taken against you. But so long as you and the other fullbringers don't go on a massive Kill all the hollows campaign you should be fine either way. The reason for the genocide of the quincies was that they did, and even after we warned them that they were upsetting the balance of the universe they continued to do so."

Jun chuckled at the captain's comment about the blond not being able to take him down. "True...but generally speaking you're gonna have the reflexes to make doing that...extremely difficult. I can hide my spiritual pressure well enough, but the second I think about going on the offensive, it'll leak enough for someone to know I'm here and start to fight back or put up a defense." Plus, as how smart as it would be to do that...Jun himself wasn't geared enough towards it. He was good enough for it to succeed on weak opponents...but nothing that was at his level or above. At least that was what he thought. It would mostly depend on the person's capabilities.

Then there was the answer to his question after a pause. "Well...that's nice to know we'll at least get a warning before shit hits the fan. I appreciate the honesty. But now for a final request. I'd like a spar and an opinion of where I would fit, power-wise, within your ranks. Of course, it'll be a friendly spar, so nothing permanently damaging or my own last resort will be used. Maybe even some critiques? I realize captains are sealed partially while here...so that should make it easier for you to...not kill me? I don't know...I'd like more experience dealing with opponents that...you know...actually stand a chance against me I guess...but aren't assholes either..." He scratched his cheek. Ms. Kessho and Kerensky-sensei were always busy...only other person he could think of was an asshole. So he really didn't have anyone else...

Kaede smirked at the human's comment, Well he definitely knows his own weak points. That is good, and he seems pleased that they will at least get a warning. Kaede thought to himself "Well of course we would warn someone that they were throwing the world out of balance before taking action against them, unless they were doing so maliciously. We aren't complete assholes ya'know. And sure I suppose I have time for a brief spar, and sure I suppose I can give you some pointers and such. Though I wouldn't worry too much about me using lethal force against you, in case you didn't notice earlier, I am not carrying a weapon. Plus due to the unique nature of my position I do not get limited on trips to the human world, because if I am being sent here most times I will not have the time to request the removal of Limits"

Kaede popped a small spherical object into his mouth, the pill released an artificial soul inside of his Gigai, ejecting his true form from the fake body causing a second Kaede to appear, standing in front of the other. Though the second one was dressed in his trademark sleeveless shihakkusho and haori. Rolling his shoulders as if they were stiff from being contained in that miserable flesh suit. "I am guessing you will not want to fight in here, so are we off to the desert or do you have a preferred location for this."
