Hell Butterflies. Beautiful black creatures that relayed messages between the thirteen divisions of the Seireitei. Used for coordinating the Thirteen Divisions to work as a singular group and to pass along vital and sometimes personal messages. This time, it was being used for the latter. It had been a very long time since Kuri had sent a message through a Hell Butterfly, but it comes naturally. After so many years of being in the Sixth Division, she could never forget how. This particular Hell Butterfly had done nothing but receive the Gotei Thirteens messages, giving Kuri vital intel while on the run. This was the first time the poor guy was aloud to roam free and do its job... It should be relieved.

Kuri reached inside the small copper cage and curled her fingers gently around the butterfly. Once removed from its cage, the girl brought it close to her face and whispered down to the Butterfly. "Take this to Rena Lisola, Captain Commander little butterfly." She paused to make sure the Butterfly acknowledged her words with a flap of its wings, before proceeding to her message. Once again the girl whispered to the butterfly. "Ren Ren, It's about time we meet up. Rome, Italy. Two Days. The Colosseum" Once she stopped speaking, she opened her cupped hands and released the Hell Butterfly.

Her violet eyes watched as the creature fluttered into the sky, disappearing to the Seireitei. A mischievous smirk crossed her lips as she slowly tugged her leather mask up over her nose. Her other hand reached back and pulled her hood up, completely hiding her identity. ]i]Just have to wait two days, please be there Ren Ren. Thought Kuri, giddy in anticipation. Now to just get to Rome.

The small statured Vizard disappeared in a blink of an eye, using Shunpo to travel as fast as possible. She focused her reiatsu underneath her feet and darted across the air itself, as to save time. One thing about Kuri was she had speed though, travelling that distance at her speed would only take the majority of one day. That left one day of waiting, while she was in Rome... Should go fast enough. She reached Rome during the night, electing that a nap was in her best interest. So she found a nice spot to rest.

Upon day time, on the second day, she woke and immediately ran to the Colosseum. Once there, she could tell Rena wasn't around. No reiatsu in the area worth note. So, the woman plopped herself right in the Colosseum's highest point and watched the Italians run around their city. Kuri's feet were dangling off the edge, so she was swing them like a child would and simply waited.

Rena was doing her normal duties as Captain-Commander, paperwork, at her desk in Seireitei when a Hell butterfly eventually made it's way to her, she figured it was just someone wanted her attention with some other detail concerning Soul Society. However what came from the Butterfly was something she was not only not prepared for, but completely floored her out of shock and surprise when she heard it. She had not heard the name Ren Ren since she was in the academy nor had she heard from the voice that said it in the same amount of time.

She said she was going out to the world of the living, all who heard her trying to stop her because why does she need to go she's got more important work to do within Gotei and what if they get attacked and need her and whatever but she wasn't listening and didn't care. She said she was going and they didn't get a choice in the matter because she was Captain-Commander and they weren't. Sounds childish but being the one in charge didn't mean you lost your freedom to do things.

This was one of those times.

However it did take her a while to get everything in order so that she COULD leave without incident. Kokoro Nashi's release from prison and back into Captaincy was first and foremost. As was the effective shut down of Central 46 because of safety and security reasons. If the Soul King had an issue with how things were going He would simply have to send Division Zero, aka the Royal Guards, to discuss or enforce matters. Rena wasn't breaking any laws or doing anything crazy so she really saw little to no reason for that to ever occur. Next thing was to set up a Senkaimon to that location without having people try to be her damn escort. She was not handicapped she was just missing an arm and an eye. Come on people!

Well after Kuri had arrived and began waiting is when things finally caught up to the present. The Senkaimon not only opened AT the Colosseum it opened directly next to Kuri with Rena stepping out of it at the edge of the wall. Staring at the populace below just as Kuri was. For her missing arm and her scarred and shut eye she still looked just as strong and determined as always. As if she wasn't even injured in the first place.

"So...you rang buddy bud?" Said the more than cheerful Rena who was still trying to "Play it cool" with her old friend. She hadn't glanced at Kuri yet but when she finally did she burst into laughter and glomped her friend with that one arm and huggled like a behemoth.

Kuri only had to wait for a few hours, being Captain Commander must keep you punctual. She had taken to leaning back on her hands and even a soft humming. However, once she did arrive, she knew immediately. The Senkaimon wasn't necessarily the most stealthiest of ways to enter The World of the Living, even more so when it is placed in close proximity. That being said, the girl didnt turn to look at Rena when she first stepped through. However, she could tell it was her by the way she always tries to hide her reiatsu. Only, with her, she could sense it... No matter how minuscule it was. The immediate reaction to sensing Rena, was a bright smile and a shine in her eyes.

When Rena would look at Kuri, she seemed to be wearing the same shihakasho that she always wore. Right arm sleeveless, left arm covered. She still had the hood and the leather mask, however both were down due to her invite. Upon further inspection, Rena would notice Kuri's twin brothers broken Zanpaktou attached to her hip and a tattoo peeking out from behind her shihakasho. Her violet hair wasn't as long as it used to be, reach to mid shoulder blades now and was lifted up into a ponytail.

Then she spoke, making her giggle a little. However, that gentle sound was disturbed by a glomp and a bear hug. This caused a squeal and a yelp from the poor violet haired girl. Her arms flailed for a moment, before wrapping around her friend. Once she got her bearings, Kuri's squeal turned into a laugh as she hugged her friend back. This was short lived however, something was wrong and a confused look crossed her face.

Kurisuten pulled away from her friend with that puzzled look, quickly letting her violet eyes scan Rena's body. Her puzzled look quickly turned to horror as she recognized what was wrong. "Rena! What in the Holy Hells happened to you?!" Yelped the horrified woman. "You... You're arm! Oh my gods! You're eye!" The girl seemed to have lost any shred or reason she had had to see Rena before and is now just freaking out. Kuri started to pat at Rena's missing arm and even went as far as grabbing Rena's chin and studying the closed eye... Still panic induced.

"hah.. Calm down.. It's nothing. I'm just as capable. Just had a few things here and there. Those stupid researchers wanted to give me a new arm and eye but if I just got restored than what would I have learned. eh?" Rena said as she put her hand on Kuri's shoulder trying to calm her down, "Regardless it's over and done with. Besides my body is unique.. It compensated for my losses. it's alright." Rena giggled as Kuri moved her chin and inspected her all over while freaking out.

It was certainly less annoying than the Shinigami at the gotei trying to tell her what new arm to take, what path to choose on recovering, blah blah blah< "So.. whats up my old friend? Did you just want to say hi because I'm running Soul Society now? Or did something happen? Or did you get lonely and got tired of not sending me any messages hahahaha?"

Kuri was still freaking out while Rena spoke to her, explaining that it was okay. However, all she could honestly think of was the fact it wasn't okay. Rena was missing a limb and an eye! Then she felt Rena's hand on her shoulder and almost immediately seemed to calm down. Her violet hues moved to Rena's good eye with a very concerned look. Though the look remained for a minute, it did turn to a soft almost adoring look. A smile spread across her lips as she heard the girls giggle and even giggled herself. She slid her hand from the girls chin and wrapped both arms around her tightly, hugging the girl close to her.

She pulled away and looked down at the people roaming their city, having trouble removing her smile from her lips. One could say a small blush even appeared on her cheeks, if you looked close enough. When her eyes drifted back to Rena's face, she answered the girl as honestly as possible. "I kinda stole a Hell Butterfly and kept tabs on the events in the Soul Society... You're C-C now, figured I could send you a message without being hunted finally." Her voice was soft and full of adoration. "So to be completely honest... I just wanted to see a friendly face. Especially yours, Ren Ren."

When she looked away, her pleased look slowly fell away and was replaced by a small, worried frown. "Are you sure you're okay? I mean... don't get wrong, I believe you and in your combat abilities. I'm just not used to seeing you this way and I don't know how to take it yet." Her voice was still soft, but it was full of concern for her best friend. Even though I hate to see her like this, seeing synthetic parts on Ren Ren might have been worse.

"hehe. Well.. I can't seem to undo the exile orders.. Central 46 seems to have put some kind of protective protocol to keep anyone from just overriding it, but I'm seeing if I can't find a way around it.. as for hunting you. I never agreed with Soul Society about that and they knew it before I was even a captain. It's not a big surprise I'm not giving hunting orders now that I'm in charge."

Rena shrugged which so far had been the only normal action she'd taken, "I'm fine. My body has compensated. The only irritating part is/was learning and managing to change into my clothes. I'm even stronger now than I was before I was injured so.. yeah I'm fine. hah." She squeezed kuri into a one armed huggle again, "So my friendliest of friends. Tell me how the outside world has been for you. Aside from the Gotei Exile stunt. I've had very little time in the world of the living since the Academy. I could count the number on one hand! Heh."

(I feel like I'm failing you! D: I'm used to posting more than this)

A small giggle escaped the girls lips and she shook her head a little, "You know I don't mind, Ren Ren, I know you never agreed with it. But, you do have to admit, it's easier to get and safer now that you are the Head Captain." The girl said with an adoring smile. Her violet eyes scanned her friends face, memorizing it all over again. Despite the missing arm and eye, she didn't seem that different from when they last saw each other. Though the two missing things would take time for her to get used to.

Kur watched as Rena shrugged, which after a second of thought, Kuri realized was her first normal action. Though, what else could you expect from that woman. "Well I suppose that would be the most irritating part..." She paused a moment and covered her lips as she giggled, "Though do people scare you from your blind side?"

A small squeak escaped her as she was pulled into a hug, then a small purr left her lips. The violet haired girl nuzzled into her old friends hair and sighed happily, the girls scent flooding Kuri's senses. She snaked her hands around her friends body and returned the huggle happily. Rena spoke and Kuri pulled from the hug slowly, her eyes only slightly widened... Or that'd be her reply if asked later on. "A one handed joke? Damn you really must be well adjusted." Her features relaxed as she realized the humor behind it, giggling once more.

"Well, you know... I've been just doing odd jobs to survive in this place and finding a decent place to live is rough. I mean seriously... Bogota... Don't live there." The girl said with a sarcastic serious face. "I was solo for a long time, but here recently I joined the Vizards. It's odd working as a group again, but it's nothing like the Gotei. You're not there." She teased, pushing the girls shoulder lightly.

(You could never fail me Ren Ren!! Dx)

"The vizard group..," Rena rubbed her chin a bit as she thought, "Oh right.. That Ika guy runs that doesn't he.. I ran into him briefly during a mission while I was 5th division's captain. I didn't really like him but he did help against the Hollow during that mission so whatever I suppose. At least he's in control of himself." Kuri asked about if people scared her on her blind side, Rena laughed a bit, "Nah.. see I was being serious when I said my body compensated. it's almost like I didn't lose an eye at all. No blind spot to be had. Far as I know."

"Well I mean..what am I gonna do. Boo hoo I lost an arm because I was friggin stupid. ...Sounded lame right? No point in dilly dallying had to get back to doing my job." She giggled a bit and then started to reply about Kuri's bit about living on the outside, "Well at least unless you fought a hollow or something you didn't have to eat eh? Hah."

Kuri outright laughed as Rena said she didn't like Ika. She probably could've told Rena that, but she had beaten her to it. Though it was a small surprise that she had already met the man before, but she was the Captain Commander so it's bound to happen. She giggled a little, "Yeah I can understand why you don't like him, is a bit over the top into himself. You know what though? He has a decent belief system when it comes to the outcasts and unwanted." She shrugged a little and giggled at her response. "Wow, you impress me more and more. Seeing without an eye is some impressive stuff there Ren Ren." She covered her lips with her fingertips and giggled a little more.

Kuri laughed as the girl in front of her made more jokes about her present circumstances. She really didnt have a problem with it, at least anymore, it seemed. Her eyes shined a bit as she watched her friend, then started to look around before sitting back down on the edge of the rooftop. She waved her hand to invite Rena to sit with her. A small chuckle escaped her lips, "Well, too a point that's true. Seems a lot more things happen that tap into your reiatsu when you are part of an organization. But at least we have air conditioning!" A mischievous grin spread across her lips.

Her hands moved to her lap as she intertwined her fingers, even kicked her dangling feet like a child. Her violet hues shifted to watching the humans go about their everyday lives. Her face seemed to get a little less chipper and dimmed to a small frown as she did so. "Y'know, Ren Ren, I've been alone since I was forced into this world... It's good seeing you." Her eyes looked over to her and smiled a little.

So the vizard headquarter's was better than a hovel in the ground, that brightened Rena's thoughts on the matter at least, she didn't know much about their headquarters other than it existed. It was kind of hard to gather information about a group that shuns you for exiling them after all, "I may not be able to bring the Vizard back to Gotei 13.. But I have no reason to start the hunt for them again.. Unfortunately even as captain-commander my control of Soul Society is limited.. but hopefully with time that'll change."

Rena plopped down next to Kuri after being offered, Kuri mentioned that she'd been alone for a while in the world of the living and that it was good to see Rena again this made Rena smile and look over at her, "I missed you too." She patted Kuri's shoulder again and giggled a bit, "At least now we don't have to be apart again. Not really. I mean we sleep in different places but that's about it now. hahaha"

She sighed, "I'm actually in a bit of a bind though. I had no hand in it mind you.. but Central 46 was slaughtered recently. I know who did it but if I were to punish them for doing it not only would I be unable to keep the vizards further off the radar but a lieutenant named Noziel would be executed as well as myself for being there and "failing" to stop the intruder.. They wouldn't care we didn't have time or anything.. They'd want to remove the fact that a captain of the gotei did something so heinous." She looked up at the sky and leaned back a bit on her arm before sighing again, "So I either take Law and die uselessly and condemn another innocent shinigami to die with me.. or I take Justice and step up to take their burdens in their place and keep shit from going south myself."

She looked over at Kuri again, "What would you do if you were me? It's not like telling my bestest buddy in ever is going to get me killed.. So you are about the only one who could actually give me an outside opinion."
