Appearance:


Eliyah has a body of an adolescent, which is muscled in a manner common to an athlete, but not to someone, who is constantly working out, and thus, lacks the impression of an intimidating guy. In fact, his slender figure is almost effeminate, and too innocent for others to be alarmed by his appearance - this is perhaps the most treasured thing in Eliyah's appearance, matched by similarly innocent gestures and expressions, to create an illusion of harmlessness. His skin is like marble with it's slightly pale complexion, and his flesh is... perhaps not as hard as stone, yet as unyielding and tense as well, due to constantly forcing his body to it's limits. Even then, he has impressive flexibility, and great talent in acrobatics.

Anyone could agree on him being a beautiful boy, "bishounen", with his youthful appearance, almost effeminate features and a face, that you will never be able to forget. His flawlessness, apparent gender neutrality and innocence bring one into his control, where he can tell them whatever he wants and have it done. Eliyah feels no qualms about using his innocence or desirability to trick and manipulate the people around him, and will do so for most of the time. His expression, aura and mannerism all appear to give an impression of an innocent youth, sort of an impression, that doesn't match his personality at all. Even in anger, his face remains extremely peaceful, and no matter how much he tries, wrinkles of stress never appear on his face of a baby. When he smiles, he becomes the sun of world, his smile shining on whoever he is giving it, and when he speaks, his voice is soft and melodious. He looks like a demi-god, and he uses this to his own advantage.

When it comes to his hair, it's messy on purpose, well-conditioned, and dark brown in colorization: it reaches just below his eyes, and is rarely seen worn in any specific manner. At the first glance, his eyes, the shining green orbs, are like stars, beautiful and tranquil in every sense, having the appearance of royal jewels of a faraway, foreign country. They channel an aura of purity, cleanliness and innocence, and give off the impression, that he has not seen world nor gotten his hands dirty. The color of jade it bears, is a symbol of union between wisdom and beauty, but it also represents an insatiable green fire, that devours everything on it's path, and a graceful poison, that subtly and silently murders it's victims.

Style/Clothing: It's not like Eliyan intentionally seeks to be flashy with his clothing, but in the way he prefers to dress, that's exactly what he looks like. For a boy, his wardrobe is quite large, and seeing his face, it becomes quite obvious, that this guy is a metro-sexual. If he can, he wants to look good, when he is around other people, even though it is true, that he isn't the most outgoing person in the first place. His style could be best described as elegant and showy, with a tint of majestic touch to it, and a great emphasis on shades of green, especially on the rich shine of jade, and the colors of black and gold. Since he is sort of a workaholic, most of his clothing can be formal, and if not, they still wouldn't most likely be casual.

Eliyan even has several shinigami uniforms to start out with. In the first one, he wears a black kosode and hakama, just like in the ordinary uniform, but the difference is, that outfit's kosode is a few cents shorter in the sleeves, so the shitagi underneath would become more visible, leaving the end of sleeves lightly pastel green instead of black. He also wears an intensively jade-colored obi sash, that is supposed to be white in the normal attire, and its longer than most, floating in the strong breeze. Eliyan hates when his obi sash gets wet, because it becomes only troublesome by becoming heavier. Instead of pair of waraji sandals, he wears uwabaki-styled skin-tight slippers, on his feet, that are actually designed for women. He wear ordinary tabi-socks with an small modification, them being not as long as supposed to; they extend only to his achilles tendon. This is Eliyan's most simple and ordinary, and so on, worn only on occasions which would demand simplicity in terms of his clothing.

For the secondary uniform, he has something else. Instead of a shihakusho, he wears a black vest with golden buttons and lining, and a high collar with gold tassels attached to corners: underneath he wears a black, skin-tight shirt that extends to his elbows. Usually, he wears fingerless white tekko, covering his arms up to his elbows. With this attire, he wears loose, black-colored pants and same footwear as in the first one, and no obi, meaning he doesn't carry zanpakuto with this uniform.

In some uniform variations, he wears a hood as well, in others he might have a golden linings all over the attire, while sometimes, he might be wearing cut-off shoulders shihakusho or an uniform without sleeves. One day, you can see him with wrapped up sleeves and uwa-obi,and on the next, he might be wearing more of a robe with massive sleeves. He has countless amount of outfits to go as an uniform, and it would be futile to list them all, so let's just forget 'bout them, and move to what he wears usually.

There is a certain green coat he has a liking of, and which he wears in missions outside of Seireitei, or in the battlefield. In times of war, he might be wearing shin guards and chain-mail armor shirt. His favorite footwear is uwabaki-styled shoes, usually of green color, and black bobby socks without any decorations. In the laboratory, he wears a normal lab coat and glasses over the attire, while in formal events, he might be seen wearing unique kimonos, robes or something nobody expects to see worn.

Aside from clothing, he wears his hair either free, bound or shaped, and is an user of jewelry and perfumes. Sometimes, he also covers his neck with a long green-colored scarf of cotton, and wears a pedant, made of black string and jade gems, which both seem to be trinkets of his past.

In human word, he tends not to wear this kind of clothing. For a moment, he is allowed to be in form a normal human, and in this special moment, he wants to wear human clothes. He wears either black or brown jeans, a black shirt under a green hoodie and good running shoes almost every time he is in World of Living. The hoodie has white lining, and even though it's long sleeved, Eliyan likes to wrap the sleeves to make them shorter: the hood is white, while the rest of hoodie is green, and it has two pockets in the chest, and another two in the sides.

Personality:

Despite his small physical figure, Eliyan is one of the fiercest individuals of his division, which he actually views as the reason he has gotten this far. He prefers not to stay quiet about his opinions on something, while most people on his division do the exact opposite in fear of being made human bombs. It's not like he wouldn't be aware of the risk related to it, but it's against his personal moral to keep his mouth shut, if he sees that something is not right. He is not afraid of fighting against an opinion he does not agree with, even if it belongs to a superior of his, but this doesn't mean he is hostile against every opinion, that is not his.

While he surely has some sense of self-preservation, and doesn't mean he is cocky or dumb enough to risk his life, Eliyan is known to be rather martyring. He would much rather die, because he said his opinion, than die without saying what was on his mind, believing strongly in one's right to say what they think. He is a boy, who stands in front of his own values and his priorities, and this is why he will interfere on a matter he doesn't agree on. His respect for honesty makes him disrespectful towards those who lie and cheat, and also makes Eliyan a quite honest person himself. Yes, truth might hurt, but it's something every single person should be able to handle in his opinion.

To him, values come before orders.

He is cold, merciless and harsh on his words. Having little to no interest in nonsense, and having no tolerance for people who cannot separate emotion and work, he doesn't necessarily mean to hurt you, but usually he will. When someone attacks him verbally, he returns the favor, believing that offence is your best defense, and this philosophy affects other things too, namely his views of vengeance. Should someone do harm to him or his work, he pays back with force that is of an entirely unseen degree: if you are often around him, he also tends to make your life very miserable and painful every single day as well. Consider him vindictive, an usual trait found in members of his division.

Eliyan is an extreme collectivist, meaning he holds a group in much higher importance than an individual, while most of his colleagues are seeking their personal benefit. His loyalty for his affiliations could be compared to that of a dog, because everyone knows, that even though he might seem somewhat rebellious with his fierce attitude, he is prepared to die for his superiors. In fact, there is nothing he hates more than people who are unable enough to follow their chosen cause or superiors till the end. In his eyes, the greatest crime, that one can commit, is to betray their subject of loyalty to save their own skin or to gain greater benefits; he doesn't get along with traitors, and is more than eager to punish them with death, rather than imprisonment. He is willing to do anything, that would benefit his division.

One could see him as an overachiever, and in a sense, this is true. He wouldn't be standing where he is now, if he couldn't show other people, that he could still beat them, even if his physical figure didn't hint so. And ever since deciding he would join Division 12, he studied almost every area of science, ranging from medicine to technology. He had to be as good as others were, if not better, if he wanted to prove himself worthy; Eliyan is skilled combatant and scientist, and feels like home, when he is being drowned in work. Years have also allowed him to become very thorough in his work, while on a downside to this, he doesn't accept imperfection, always demanding for perfection, from others and himself. He could also be seen as somewhat ambitious person, determined to advance his position in the group and advance the position of group in the spiritual and material worlds.

He likes to keep emotions and work away from each other. Through his early years as a shinigami, he hated how his feelings messed with his ability to calculate and make decisions, leading into critical mistakes, but later on, he developed a mental capability to separate emotion and work. This means, that below his emotionless shell, he actually feels something.

Inside, he could be considered someone full of life, though this rarely shows to the outside. Eliyan does love life itself, having fun, doing outrageous things, travelling around and seeing all of the beautiful things in his world; however, he decided to suppress this side of himself a long time ago, in order to become a success in his division. Generally an enigmatic shinigami, he likes to keep this side hidden, but one might notice pieces of a person buried inside him, revealing that he hasn't always been a bad person.

That said, he could be considered highly aware of himself, his memories, his feelings and his thoughts. Eliyan truly has a profound understanding of himself, knowing what are his own weaknesses and what are his strengths, and how he feels about himself and other people. There is rarely a moment, when he is unsure of how he is feeling or what he is thinking: a result of great introspection process. He can separate an artificial though or memory from a real one, and has proven to be quite enduring at illusions, that affect himself.

Not an ordinary researcher, Eliyan has been involved in a lot of conflicts, and unlike most members of his squad, he has fought in the front lines himself. If anything, his experiences of the battlefield have only made him stronger and smarter. For instance, it has allowed him to become quite experienced at perceiving his environment, picking up details all around him, picture things in his mind and build complex strategies in a few seconds. Now, these same skills are proven as useful in the laboratory as in the battlefield, alongside the skills he has learned through study and reading books. He is shown to be pretty creative and far-seeing, whenever it might be demanded.

Much more philosophical thinker than you'd expect, he can be found wondering mysteries and questions of existence on the first day, and definitions and meanings of beauty on the next. He pays attention to the subtle messages of the universe and soft whispers of the nature, seeks knowledge of his own role in this world, and watches the work of greater forces in awe. Eliyan is capable of arousing questions in others with his thoughtfulness, but even this is nothing compared to his deep understanding of universe and ability to watch the world from a different point of view for a moment.

He can be pretty ruthless in combat, but even more merciless he is when it comes to work. It could be said, that he has a twisted sense of moral and justice, since he is capable of authorizing massacres of innocent people and isn't below killing those who are far weaker than he is, out of annoyance. When it comes to price of human life, only thing than is worth of something to him is the body, which in the other hand, doesn't have a high worth anyways. This makes him look like a monster to some, but he has some quite unreasonable moral restrictions, many of which are not known to others.

Yet, Eliyan is a pretty selfless person. His work comes before himself and things like his own personal health, because he knows he is doing it for Soul Society and Gotei 13, leading him into becoming sort of a salt-of-the-earth shinigami. Someone, who will always look at the benefits for the community before even giving a thought for the individual gain, which would be a valid reason for his opinions on human life.

This makes him manipulative on some occasions. He simply doesn't care for any feelings, thoughts or free will of an individual: the opinions, emotional states and choices of a group or a society do matter to him, in the other hand. Eliyan is hardly social, kind of introverted, but while he doesn't enjoy being in crowds or interacting with several people, it's not uncommon for him to push himself through it to do his job. He isn't uneasy around others, it's just not common of him of be social.

Eliyan doesn't like letting people too close or allow them to build emotional ties to him very often, so, he keeps interacting with others professional and as minimal as possible. Carefully measuring every word before say them aloud is necessary for him, since he couldn't forgive himself if he told someone of professional secrets. He is usually respectful, unless he is given a reason not to be, whenever he is around allies or friends.

Sort of a judgmental and skeptic person, Eliyan is cautious of people, because he knows what kind of monsters can disguise themselves as sheep. Very quick on analyzing his targets, within moments he can tell what kind of person you are, maybe even some details: a hour with someone, and he has a full mental profile of you. It's futile to lie to him, because one way or another, he will always know, from the moment you open your mouth.

To personal enemies and enemies of his superiors, he is extremely cold and merciless. He believes in never giving them anything they could use against you, and in never allowing a traitor to live unless there is an order for them to be brought back unharmed (which he will honor only on certain circumstances). Most likely, he will execute enemies he defeats immediately, but on some occasions, he imprisons them for torment or experimentation.

When it comes to love, it's almost out of reach to him, and to most, it seems he wouldn't be able to love anyone back if they fell for him. He can be a passionate lover for a while, but it never lasts, if he doesn't feel true attraction to the person. He is sapiosexual, meaning he finds intelligence the most sexiest thing in others.

• Intelligent People. It's the brainy people, that are even worth of his time.
• Working. Is there anything better than having your hands full of work?
• Literature. Because just a few words equals to a thousand pictures.
• Relaxation. After a long day of work, it's important to have a moment of rest.
• Ayurvedic Tea. Especially ginseng, ginger and chili flavor.
• Takeaway Food. Petty humans FINALLY made something useful.
• Eating. It doesn't have to even taste good, it's the act of eating itself.
• Games, Puzzles and Challenges. Who wouldn't like to play some games?
• Green. The color, plants, basically anything that is green.

Dislikes:

• Stupidity. It's the ugliest for of deformity in existence.
• Disloyalty. There is nothing more hateful than disobedience and betrayal.
• Hollow. Let's not forget he is a shinigami.
• Whiny People. AKA people who try to socialize with him via casual conversation.
• Interruptions. If he is talking, do not, EVER, interrupt him.
• Arrogance. Being a collectivist, he hates people full of themselves.
• Being Unconscious. Not aware of what is happening around him? He's terrified.

Ambitions/Dreams/Goals:

• Power. Influence upon others, unparalleled strength and high status.
• Admiration. Is being respected and admired by others too much to ask for?
• Reformation. Certain things should be changed and remodeled.
• Wisdom. He's already really intelligent, so it's wisdom he needs more.

Strengths:

• Decisions. Through precise calculation of probability, he makes pretty good choices.
• Creative. C'mon, this guy is in 12th Division, meaning he has invented things.
• Intuition. He puts a lot of faith in his intuition, and it usually works out well.
• Calm. Remains composed in any situation, hard to freak out.
• Introspection. He has studied himself and knows exactly what happens in his head.
• Loyal. This guy is not only doggy loyal to his cause, but also martyring.
• Resistant to Manipulation. Don't even try it. It wont work.

Fears & Weaknesses:

• Never optimistic. Realistic or pessimistic, but never optimistic.
• Cold. To the outside, he is emotionless, which leads him being a jerk.
• Merciless. When it comes to taking a life, he wont even blink.
• Abandonment. It's his greatest fear to be trashed like paper by Gotei 13.
• Temperamental. If you happen to threaten him, you find him quickly angered.
• Clueless. Has no idea that he should respect a human life.



THE BATTLE SPECS




Fighting Style: The combat philosophies behind Eliyan's actions in combat, and in other words, his manners of fighting with an opponent, are pretty interesting. He uses his environment, and generally anything he can just pick up, against his opponents, turning their surrounding to caress his own strategies and slap the enemy in face as their plan becomes unusable. It's common for him to bring every skill of his to the peak in a fight as well, using swordsmanship, martial arts, athleticism and acrobatics in conjunction with his kido expertise, sensory abilities and unusual zanpakuto powers, resulting in an incredible combination of most shinigami skills. He is a seasoned combatant, and his choice of using his skills and surroundings against the enemy is a testimony of this.

Unlike most of his comrades, he doesn't seek to experiment and learn in each battle, though if that is possible and benefiting for him in the battle in question, he is more than likely to do exactly that. He seeks to end each fight as quickly as possible, which is the most visible trait of his fighting style: never careless or reckless in a fight, he always plays it safe, using multiple techniques at the same time to generate offense, that is powerful enough to crush through the defenses of foe and even then severely damaging them. As much as he puts to his attacks, he puts to his defense as well, and the same philosophy follows here as well. He will either aggressively use offense as his defense, use multiple defensive techniques to ensure his safety, or seek to dodge and evade attack of the opponent. There doesn't exist such a scenario, where he stubbornly uses his reiatsu or weapon to block an attack he might or might not be able to block, but instead, he uses his wide knowledge on all aspects of shinigami combat and mixes different techniques and applications together to form an ultimate defense, or offense.

Due to the same philosophy, he always has an escape route: it's only expected to have one, if you are really playing it safe. And when it comes to escape, it usually is a question of self-preservation, and when it comes that far, his ruthlessness awakens. He is willing to detonate entire streets full of his close comrades if necessary with an explosion, and certainly isn't below using other people as his human shield or as leverages against his opponents. More importantly, he always has an escape route and he is very capable of making up one as well, and this acts as an important key in his battles. While he finds escaping rather cowardly, he never abandons the thought of doing so, even if it means leaving others for dead. Don't underestimate him or his battle skills, because on the moment you do, he pushes his powers to their peak, for he sees your moment of weakness. On the other side of coin, he never underestimates either, not even when the person is several tiers below him and has no chance of even hurting him.

Then if he does not aim to win or experiment the foe in combat, what is his goal anyways? Well, that's pretty straight-forward question, and the answer is so, as well. He seeks, with rare exceptions, to kill or execute the opponent; one can survive a true fight, and if it's him or them, he would rather quickly execute them, rather than scar them severely and give them a chance to unleash their last resort against him. So, when most people tend to fight lightly and then turn into more aggressive later on, Eliyan brutally puts his full strength in the start already, to crush his foes by the surprise and as quickly as possible. In terms of range, he is capable of fighting from the long range as a kido specialist, but as an instrument of warfare, he is very much capable of being a troublesome opponent in a close or medium range as well.

When it comes to hand to hand combat, he uses various martial arts learnt on his long life in sync with acrobatics and gymnastics: his most favored techniques are all sort of kicks and attacks and parries of the open palm, but most visible are the evasive and dodge-based techniques, which appear to be more of a circus tricks than combat skills. In swordsmanship, he uses quick slashes, yet swings his sword with force enough to cut through bone, and rarely allows the enemy to put him in a situation, where the strength of a sword is tested by making them clash together. After multiple slashes, he usually involves a few stabs, which do not only prevent the enemy from attacking, because they are far too busy in blocking. In terms of shunpo usage, he often uses it to dodge attacks, but also to make swift, close range movements, such as switching position in very short time.

One of his signature techniques in close combat is actually a mix of zanjutsu and hoho: when the enemy makes an attack at him from either side, he moves forward with use of shunpo, aiming his blade at foe's heart and sinking it in one move until the tsuba meets enemy's chest, pulling himself so close to the enemy, that the attack of foe doesn't actually reach him at all. He prefers finishing moves and techniques over those that merely annoy the foe and do not do real damage; if, for some reason, he feels like sparing his foe instead of killing, he usually breaks their wrists, cuts of their nerves or severs a limb, in order to cause pain powerful enough to make them incapable of fighting back anymore. His zanjutsu moves are usually focused on crippling or decapitating the foe, while his hakuda often aims to create internal damage, instead of external injury, though it might be preferred under some circumstances.

He remains strategic and creative in his fights. Each of his kido spells were carefully chosen, because of their potential of becoming deadly techniques and because of their versatility, and he is known to web magnificent combinations of kido, general techniques and his shikai powers: no one really knows what is the limit of his imagination, because this far, his actions tend to be more than unique.

Personal Abilities:

Name: Sensory Superiority [Emperor's Eye]
Effect: It's not an ability, that people would be completely unheard of, since many kido specialists and those, who lack or have weakened sight or hearing, usually do possess it, and while not necessarily an unique ability, it always has proven to be firm ability, whenever it comes to combat and shinigami missions. While there is a strong innate proficiency for sensory and detection in the background, it's not always just that, including learned knowledge and understanding of spiritual energy as well, mixed up into an ability, that one is not capable of teaching others. It fortifies all of the senses of the shinigami, the five physical senses and the spiritual and mental sensors of the user as well.

First, the five physical senses are enhanced to extent of, as the title suggests, superiority: he sees everything with better detail, with much clearer vision and greater aim, hears everything sharper than a human being does, smells acutely, tastes delicately and has a strong sensitivity to touch. In the mental department, this allows for faster reflexes, quicker reaction, better observation skills and even supernatural empathy, which allows him to feel one's moods and notice changes in one's behavior.

Then for the spiritual part, it mainly fortifies the naturally acute reiatsu detection, allowing one to possess a very large range for detection of faintest bits of spiritual energy, ability to track down targets via spiritual signature, and great skill in determining type, strength and nature of target's abilities and techniques, even their power level, in a few posts. The awareness is brought to entirely new level, where he doesn't even need physical senses to navigate, and where one has the ability to control one's senses to degree of accessing voluntary, temporary synesthesia, or rather, blending of two separate senses.

General Techniques:

Technique Name: Fusshoku Oni -- Dispelling Demon
Technique Description: A technique, which acts as the proof of his proficiency with spiritual energies and ultimately his understanding for the manipulation of energy's composition. While there exists a similar technique, called Hanki, which is capable of nullifying energy, speed and strength of an attack directed to them, but one could not really compare it with this phenomenon, where the user rather dispels or breaks down the energy, rather than nullifying it. The practitioner uses his knowledge of differences between spiritual energies, and manipulates this knowledge into making any energy-based attack fall apart into bits of harmless energy; in case of reiatsu/reiryoku/reishi based physical attacks, the speed and the strength is dispelled as well, simply stopping the opponent if the technique is successful. Cooldown for this technique is either two posts between uses against a technique or one post between uses against a kido.

Technique Effect Chart:

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: If the opponent is two or more tiers lower than the user, their spiritual energies are completely dispelled, and any effects of their reiatsu automatically negated as well: high numbered kido spells are broken with ease. In terms of physical attacks, now the speed is affected along with strength and energy fueling the attack, and since all aspects of the attack are stripped off, the enemy is stopped completely, and those of more than three tiers lower are paralyzed for one post.

Opponent is One Tier Lower: If the opponent is one tier lower when compared to the user, their spiritual energy attacks are dispelled and made useless against the user, while their higher level kido spells are broken with concentration. The physical attacks are stripped off their strength and energy fueling them, but the attack itself doesn't stop unless blocked, not reducing the speed in any manner: this basically renders hand to hand techniques very weak, but swordsmanship techniques might remain as deadly as they were.

Opponent is Equal Tier: If the opponent is in equal tier with the user, their attack's spiritual energy breaks down as soon as the technique is activated, never reaching the user, and mid-strength kido spells by the enemy are broken easily. When it comes to physical attacks, the additional boost, that the spiritual energy gives to the attack, is nullified, but it otherwise remains the same: in some cases, this will mean the attack loses it's power, however.

Opponent is One Tier Higher: If opponent is of one tier higher when compared to the user, only half of their attack's spiritual energy withers away, raising user's tier with one point when it comes to the defense against said attack, and mid-strength kido spells can be broken with concentration. Again the energy fueling a physical attack is split in two, allowing for a tier up in defense towards the attack.

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: If the opponent is more than two tier higher, this technique is rendered useless against their spiritual energy based techniques, but it still affects their kido spells of low number (1-30) and successfully dispels them.

Technique Name: Eishōhaki -- Incantation Abandonment
Technique Description: A kido technique, that allows the caster abandon the use of spoken incantation entire, without having to sacrifice the full strength of spell: you see, anyone can perform an incantationless kido spell, but the power of spell is always greatly reduced by the lack of incantation, and that's the difference between that and this technique. By abandoning an incantation the caster also decreases the amount of time necessary for casting the spell, allowing quicker casting than usual.

Technique Name: Gyakukidō -- Reverse Spirit Way
Technique Description: A very unique kido technique, that is far beyond what a standard officer would be able to learn: this technique is a testimony of his reputation as a kido specialist. He is capable of turning offensive destruction spells into defensive or binding spells, by switching the poles of kido composition, and in other words, switch a Hado spell into a Bakudo spell, reversing the type of the kido. If desired, effect of kido can be reversed as well, leading into countless of possible results, like making a repulsion spell an attraction/magnetism spell. This is a powerful form of kido manipulation, since it crafts an entirely new kido within less than a second, and would be considered genius even by the top class practitioners.

Technique Name: Oni Dekopin -- Demon Headpoke
Technique Description: A hakuda technique, where one enhances a small physical action with moderate amount of spiritual energy, resulting in an effect, which's strength ranges from a small push to physical force strong enough to send an opponent flying through multiple constructs. This particular action is traditionally performed by pulling a finger back against their thumb, and flicking it at opponent, but in a situation where it for a reason or another, would be inconvenient to perform, another simple action would be just pushing their hand in the direction of wanted target. The cooldown for it is three posts.

Technique Effect Chart: This effect chart is special in a manner, that it applies to the medium range only: if the technique is used on a foe, that is within range of one and half meters, then it gains the attack boost of +1 AR points, and if the technique is used on a foe, that is more than thirty meters away, it decreases the effect with -1 AR points.

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The opponent is met with vast force, far beyond anything they have felt before, sending them flying backwards in the speed of a missile and in the strength of an asteroid, powerful enough to make them crash through multiple constructs and even then fly a considerable distance away, potentially dealing immense amount of damage as well, easily breaking bones and causing major injury as a result.

Opponent is One Tier Lower: The opponent is met with a powerful force, that will upon impact, send them flying backwards in incredible speed and strength, enough to make them crash through several constructs or walls, dealing great amount of damage, capable of breaking bones and inflicting major injuries during their impact to whatever object is nearby.

Opponent is Equal Tier: The opponent is met with a strong force, that will upon impact, send them flying backwards in speed and strength strong enough to make them crash through a single construct, dealing fair amount of damage and chance for broken bones.

Opponent is One Tier Higher: The opponent is met with a decent force, enough to pull them to a construct or a wall, but not strong enough to make them fly right through it, even if they use reiatsu to protect themselves from the attack.

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: The opponent, if not using reiatsu to protect themselves from damage or caught off guard, will be pushed back by a force equal to that of an average adult man, but this effect can be easily negated via reiatsu use.



THE ZANPAKUTO




Zanpakuto Name: Gyokūryū (Jade Dragon)

Zanpakuto Theme: Greek Fire

Sealed Appearance: Even when the zanpakuto lies on it's sealed state, all aspects of Gyokūryū's power and elegance become apparent to outsiders. Forged personally for Eliyan, it's a katana of the shorter kind, and like all katanas, it has a handle built to be held with both hands. In a sense, it is perceived as more of an ornament than an instrument of war, even though it has proven to be quite proficient with causing bloodshed and severing heads from bodies.

It has a handle with jade colored silk cord wrapping, with tiny pieces of jade gems placed as decoration. The sheath is lacquered black, but where is artistic paintings of green color in it. When it comes to guard, it's the only part of zanpakuto that is completely made of jade, and it takes the shape of heptagram.

The zanpakuto's blade itself is made of light metal, that naturally yields a little when it clashes against another swords, yet has smaller chance of breaking than those blades than are more unyielding. When swung, the blade moves with gracefulness and quite swiftly, because of it's lighter composition, when compared to an ordinary katana: the edge is made to be extremely sharp and because of this, it phases through flesh and bone quite easily. It's slightly curved in the shape, when closely looked at.

Spirit Appearance:


Gyokūryū, in her true form, appears a female jade dragon of great beauty, exactly as her name suggests. The dragon's body is completely ethereal, being composed of jade-tinted light and several flammable gaseous chemicals, while in fact, the details of body are quite visible. Her scales always shine like a sunset of green color, and her strong figure is built elegantly, like she was a queen of her kind. She must be at least twelve times bigger than her shinigami master in this form, if not more.

Like her appearance, her aura is rather majestic. She is capable of speaking verbally or telepathically as a dragon, and her voice is far more melodious than of any woman. In her back, she has a set of wings, so it's pretty obvious that she can fly. Also, she is capable of breathing green fire.

It's not uncommon for a zanpakuto to be able to manifest in multiple forms, and so, Gyokūryū can appears as she wishes. However, outside her dragon form, she prefers to appear as a woman, whose clothes seems to be made of jade itself. She might be young or old, but either way, there is an aura of enigma and wisdom around her; she always seems to have green eyes brighter than stars itself, a flawless skin and long hair of varying colors, that she usually wears in a chinese top knot.

Spirit Personality: To the outside, Gyokūryū, could be considered extremely enigmatic dragon, who is not only ridiculously wise, but also who knows a lot more than she lets on; as a result, her advice comes mainly in form of symbolic words, poetry, questions and metaphors. While she could help her master by providing him knowledge of what he should do, she prefers to keep most information to herself and encourages him to listen to his heart, which utterly annoys him.

Her role is to be a guide and a teacher, when it comes to spirituality and spiritual growth, but years have pushed her closer with her master than he is with anyone else; she is like a mother figure, or at least, she loves him like he would be her son. While not necessarily protective, Gyokūryū doesn't enjoy putting him in danger or seeing him harmed in general, and while she denies to feel anything like worry for him, her heart always skips a beat when his life is threatened. As a part of her master's soul, she is capable of sensing any thought or feeling of his at all times, in addition to having access into his memories.

Inner World: A world of enigma, that is subject to constant change, and where anything is possible: Gyokūryū is the one in charge here, and she will mold this world to suit her master's lessons. Sometimes it's something you would find in the Soul Society, like an evergreen forest, a coastline without an end, a small village or a palace of jade, and sometimes it's something more surreal, like an ocean, where trees grow from the surface pointing at the bottom, and where there is butterflies instead of fish. It could be anything, and any material laws do not necessarily restrict it.

Shikai Release Phrase: "Illuminate the sea and the sky. Paint the horizon in fire. Gyokūryū."

Shikai Appearance: Now, after the release phrase has been spoken, the zanpakuto reveals it's true radiance and unimaginable beauty of it's spirit in form of a blade. It becomes the true ornament and the representation of her power, and while the sealed appearance was considered as such, this form just goes beyond from that: no man could ever build such a beauty, and it should be heavily considered whenever it is actually work of the gods or not. However, in it's beauty, there is monstrosity and deadliness hidden inside, which lead the enemies into state of bliss when they are killed by such a beauty.

The zanpakuto is now shorter, size of a wakizashi, and it wasn't overstating, when it was called a sword no smith could forge. It's entirely made out of jade. Not only the handle and guard, but the blade itself, is now composed of the expensive, yet more than durable jewel. It shines in it's greatness, whenever the light hits it, and it's said, that in this new form, the imperfections of the former beauty are now fixed.

For example, it doesn't yield anymore, and instead, could make the hardest blades of all yield under it's strength, and it's not curved anymore. It sharpness is on new level too, and with one perfect swipe, it passes through an enemy like there was only air inside them, and due being lighter than ever, it moves more swifter than in the sealed form. The sheath is made of the same material as the blade and is now used as a weapon as deadly as the zanpakuto itself: when it comes to handle, it's wrapped in tight jade-colored strings that shine like jewel. It seems that guard is the only part not changed.

Shikai Abilities:

Name: Greek Fire Generation
Effect: This zanpakuto possesses a very peculiar ability, one that hasn't been seen in the history of Soul Society before, and it's the ability to generate greek fire: an extremely dangerous, volatile form of artificial flame, that is more than famous for it's ability to burn in extreme circumstances, like underwater or without oxygen, for it's ability to burn down entire metropolises when a mere drop is spilled, and for it's unique colorization of jade and green. It's original form is a green, shining liquid, which when sparked, bursts into magnificent jade-colored flames of great size. Composed of a few known and many foreign chemicals, it reacts with/is sparked by spiritual energy and tactile contact with living only. Because of the volatile nature, the reaction of the liquid turning into flame is strong enough to cause impact.

The process of generation is pretty simple. At it's most basic, the wielder swings the zanpakuto, which produces the unique fluid and sends it into the air, before setting it alight with his reiatsu to bring the flames to life. It doesn't need oxygen, combustible or temperature to burn, because the chemicals produce all of this by themselves, which is a huge advantage, since it will catch it's surrounding in green flames as well, without much chances of it being extinguished. Only way to stop the flames is to surround it with object, that wont catch fire (water doesn't work here), and wait until it has burned out by itself.

In terms of effects on different tiers, this fire is pretty basic. +2 tiers higher might get slight, but still painful burns, while 1 tier higher gets minor burns. Those of equal tier get moderate burns, when people 1 tier weaker are affected by major burns and +2 tiers weaker, in the other hand, get immense burns.

The liquid itself, is highly acidic, meaning if it comes in contact with wounds or is ingested as it is, it will cause the victim formidable agony. This means, that if using fire is out of question for some good reason, the chemical liquid, that the blade is capable of producing, is enough to burn the targets. For effect chart of this, equal tier might get an acid burn and feels moderate pain (it's still painful), those of lower tiers get greater acid burns and feels greater pain as well, while those of higher tiers do not get burned by the acid, but it will still be painful if it comes in contact with a wound or is ingested/injected.

In case the fire doesn't spread, and remains trapped/unable to catch other objects in fire, it will burn out in 5 posts, but it has the potential of remaining aflame forever if it is fed from the outside.

Name: Thermal Immunity
Effect: It's an ability, that allows the wielder of zanpakuto to reach immunity to high temperatures, meaning while they can feel hot, they are immune to burning hot temperatures and anything that would be too painful to touch. Now, while it's called immunity, fire/heat-based of those who are +3 tiers above him can break through this defense and make him lose the advantage. However, if he was on 3-1, the enemy would have to be on 2-1 or above to cause their fire to burn the wielder: the gap is a great advantage on his part. He can also channel this ability to his clothing and blade as well.

The source of this ability is somewhat unique as well. When released, the reiatsu of zanpakuto is pumped into his veins, creating a resistance to his own flames and flames of anyone else via enhancing the body.

Shikai Techniques:

Technique Name: Ryūhimaku -- Dragon's Coat
Technique Description: If the blade is able to produce liquid, that turns into green fire, and the wielder of zanpakuto is immune to flames, then, isn't it only logical for them to possess a technique to coat themselves in fire. The wielder can spill the liquid from the blade to their skin or clothing, just a finger or their entire body, and even their blade, via use of the base ability of zanpakuto, and then spill it whenever they wish so. It makes close quarter combat very difficult for your foes, and you're literally on fire for the next moments, so you're gonna be visible: because of greek fire's laws, it will last only for 5 posts.

Those of equal tiers get moderate burns. If you are 2+ tier higher you get slight burns, and 1 tier higher people get minor burns. Technique Name: Gyokūkōzan -- Jade Mine
Technique Description: Like said, the liquid reacts with spiritual energy, but physical contact with living things works as well. That was the thought, when the wielder came up with this ability. By leaving small circles of the fluid in the ground, he could create greek fire mines, which explode wildly into flames when someone touches them or when the wielder sparks it himself with reiatsu.

Technique Effect Chart: The base ability effect chart applies. Opponents +2 tiers lower are immensely burned by the flames, while those 1 tier lower get major burns. Those of equal tiers get moderate burns. If you are 2+ tier higher you get slight burns, and 1 tier higher people get minor burns. Technique Name: Ryū no Shikyū -- Womb of the Dragon
Technique Description: Creating a larger circle of the fluid in the ground, the wielder can create either a barrier made out of greek fire or a burning trap for their enemies, but the latter can prove not so wise, since the fire has possibility of spreading or burning whatever is inside. As a shield however, it's rather useful, since only the most reckless out of his enemies will jump into the flames and try to break through. It lasts for 5 posts, as all of shikai techniques.

Technique Effect Chart: The base ability effect chart applies. Opponents +2 tiers lower are immensely burned by the flames, while those 1 tier lower get major burns. Those of equal tiers get moderate burns. If you are 2+ tier higher you get slight burns, and 1 tier higher people get minor burns. However, it's still powerful fire, so if +2 tier higher decides to take a nap in the flame, they will get cremated.

Technique Name: Taikyaku-hi -- Fire's Retreat
Technique Description: Because of the flames of this ability have potential to burn forever, there must be a technique capable of extinguishing the fire, in case there is a situation, that demands the wielder to be able to do so. It releases strong reiatsu impulse to the flames' composition, causing the chemicals to burn out immediately and kill the fire off: in fact, this technique is the only one in wielder's shikai, that indicates control over the flames beyond the generation of greek fire.

The downside of this technique is tricky. If you haven't noticed, none of the previous techniques have a cool-down, and this was done purposely. When the wielder retreats the flames, they also seal the process of generation for 3 posts, essentially putting the whole shikai ability in hold.



THE KIDO SPELLS




Hado Spells:

Fushibi: The user creates a kido net, which remains undetectable until a target finds themselves entangled in it, and after it has became visible, it appears as an orange mesh. It's not uncommon to accidentally classify this spell as a bakudo, since it does bind the opponent, but it's real use, after the target is bound, reveals this assumption wrong. The actual usage of this spell is to channel another hado spell to the mesh, resulting in a massive effect depending on the spell in question.

Tsuzuri Raiden and this spell result in electrocution of anything within the range of mesh, and when combined with Sokatsui, the result is a large explosion of blue fire. Haien and Fushibi together are capable of turning user's surrounding to ashes. Also, in case that user is standing in the middle of kido net, the explosion doesn't reach the center at all, allowing one to freely detonate their surrounding.

Tsuzuri Raiden: Either though his hands or zanpakuto, or whatever medium available, he is able to generate a high-voltage electric current, and release it on whatever object or surface they wish to, though it must be something that conducts electricity. Everyone in contact with the object or surface, except for the caster, who remains unaffected, are damaged by the current.

Sōkatsui: In this spell, he summons blue fire to his palms and discharges the flames towards the desired target afterwards. Perhaps one of the most versatile destruction spells in terms of strength, the practitioner is capable of controlling the potency of spell, ranging it from a lightning-like blast to a large wave of blue fire. The spell also has pretty good impact, when it hits a foe.

Haien: This is a higher tier spell. It allows the user to discharge purple flames either from a zanpakuto or user's own hands, and it's similar to Sokatsui in a sense, that one can control the strength of spell by fueling it even more, only that it has a special effect. It is capable of completely cremating any solid non-living object it hits, leaving only ashes behind, with a few exceptions, like sekki-seki and zanpakuto. Upon contact with living objects, it will cause moderate burns.

Daichi Tenyō: Similar to telekinesis, this spell allows the user to levitate the objects around him and throw them at a desired direction with great force. One very heavy object equal several of moderate weight. A spell, that has nearly unparalleled precision, being able to counter opposing flying objects.

Bakudo Spells:

Seki: This spell has the ability to summon light blue energy, that is capable of repelling anything that comes in touch with it: mostly it appears as an orb, but sometimes, it can be condensed to the zanpakuto or body parts as well. It repels an object away with twice as great strength it was hit in the first place.

Geki: Perhaps one of the most potent paralysis spells around, even though it only lasts for a short time (1 post for equal and 1 tier higher, 2 posts for lower tiers). One generates red energy all around them, and then remotely paralyze the target, without necessarily having tactile contact at all. Great for escaping.

Hōrin: The practitioner moves his palms in circular movement to generate a sphere of orange crackling energy, before pushing his hands forward in order to release it as orange-hued tendril. It's not only extremely fast on it's movement, but the caster can actually control it's movements as well, and in addition to that, one can even summon another tendril with an ease and bind the two ropes together.

Kyokkō: A spell, that creates a coat around the user, which in the other hand, bends light to the extent of hiding one's physical appearance fully, granting invisibility, but not inaudibility, meaning it doesn't cover sound. This spell also hides all hints of spiritual presence belonging to the user as well.

Hakufuku: While it's real purpose is to force opponents of lower tiers (3+ tiers lower) unconscious, it's also an effective tool against those of other power levels. It can be used to disorient the foe, which's more common effects are dizziness, confusion, blurriness, tiredness, lack of focus, clumsiness and even nausea in some cases. This can be also used to erase close memories (from a few seconds to an hour).

THE BATTLE SPECS




Innate Abilities:
Reiryoku Enhancement: As a shinigami, he is capable of exploiting his spiritual energy and voluntarily enhancing his physical condition, achieving superhuman strength, agility or defensive qualities for a moment. For example, he could jump unnaturally high, cut through substances that a human never could or harden his skin against an attack.

Shunpo: Not unlike every shinigami, Eliyah is capable of using his Reiryoku to move faster than one's physical eyes can perceive. Ability to perform, shunpo, in other words.

Reikaku: The inner eye, that allows a shinigami to detect spiritual energies and entities around them - something, that allows them to see what their eyes can't.

Superhuman Durability: The ability to sustain obviously deadly amount of physical trauma, and live to tell the tale. Eliyah, like any shinigami, can sustain himself with reiatsu, to the degree of being able to desert the need of breathing and showing no distress with lungs full of water, and remaining conscious even after having more than half of his body blown off - not to mention, that one shinigami actually tore his heart out and was pretty chill about it. The only guaranteed method of death is decapitation.

Fighting Style: The combat philosophies behind Eliyan's actions in combat, and in other words, his manners of fighting with an opponent, are pretty interesting. He uses his environment, and generally anything he can just pick up, against his opponents, turning their surrounding to caress his own strategies and slap the enemy in face as their plan becomes unusable. It's common for him to bring every skill of his to the peak in a fight as well, using swordsmanship, martial arts, athleticism and acrobatics in conjunction with his kido expertise, sensory abilities and unusual zanpakuto powers, resulting in an incredible combination of most shinigami skills. He is a seasoned combatant, and his choice of using his skills and surroundings against the enemy is a testimony of this.

Unlike most of his comrades, he doesn't seek to experiment and learn in each battle, though if that is possible and benefiting for him in the battle in question, he is more than likely to do exactly that. He seeks to end each fight as quickly as possible, which is the most visible trait of his fighting style: never careless or reckless in a fight, he always plays it safe, using multiple techniques at the same time to generate offense, that is powerful enough to crush through the defenses of foe and even then severely damaging them. As much as he puts to his attacks, he puts to his defense as well, and the same philosophy follows here as well. He will either aggressively use offense as his defense, use multiple defensive techniques to ensure his safety, or seek to dodge and evade attack of the opponent. There doesn't exist such a scenario, where he stubbornly uses his reiatsu or weapon to block an attack he might or might not be able to block, but instead, he uses his wide knowledge on all aspects of shinigami combat and mixes different techniques and applications together to form an ultimate defense, or offense.

Due to the same philosophy, he always has an escape route: it's only expected to have one, if you are really playing it safe. And when it comes to escape, it usually is a question of self-preservation, and when it comes that far, his ruthlessness awakens. He is willing to detonate entire streets full of his close comrades if necessary with an explosion, and certainly isn't below using other people as his human shield or as leverages against his opponents. More importantly, he always has an escape route and he is very capable of making up one as well, and this acts as an important key in his battles. While he finds escaping rather cowardly, he never abandons the thought of doing so, even if it means leaving others for dead. Don't underestimate him or his battle skills, because on the moment you do, he pushes his powers to their peak, for he sees your moment of weakness. On the other side of coin, he never underestimates either, not even when the person is several tiers below him and has no chance of even hurting him.

Then if he does not aim to win or experiment the foe in combat, what is his goal anyways? Well, that's pretty straight-forward question, and the answer is so, as well. He seeks, with rare exceptions, to kill or execute the opponent; one can survive a true fight, and if it's him or them, he would rather quickly execute them, rather than scar them severely and give them a chance to unleash their last resort against him. So, when most people tend to fight lightly and then turn into more aggressive later on, Eliyan brutally puts his full strength in the start already, to crush his foes by the surprise and as quickly as possible. In terms of range, he is capable of fighting from the long range as a kido specialist, but as an instrument of warfare, he is very much capable of being a troublesome opponent in a close or medium range as well.

When it comes to hand to hand combat, he uses various martial arts learnt on his long life in sync with acrobatics and gymnastics: his most favored techniques are all sort of kicks and attacks and parries of the open palm, but most visible are the evasive and dodge-based techniques, which appear to be more of a circus tricks than combat skills. In swordsmanship, he uses quick slashes, yet swings his sword with force enough to cut through bone, and rarely allows the enemy to put him in a situation, where the strength of a sword is tested by making them clash together. After multiple slashes, he usually involves a few stabs, which do not only prevent the enemy from attacking, because they are far too busy in blocking. In terms of shunpo usage, he often uses it to dodge attacks, but also to make swift, close range movements, such as switching position in very short time.

One of his signature techniques in close combat is actually a mix of zanjutsu and hoho: when the enemy makes an attack at him from either side, he moves forward with use of shunpo, aiming his blade at foe's heart and sinking it in one move until the tsuba meets enemy's chest, pulling himself so close to the enemy, that the attack of foe doesn't actually reach him at all. He prefers finishing moves and techniques over those that merely annoy the foe and do not do real damage; if, for some reason, he feels like sparing his foe instead of killing, he usually breaks their wrists, cuts of their nerves or severs a limb, in order to cause pain powerful enough to make them incapable of fighting back anymore. His zanjutsu moves are usually focused on crippling or decapitating the foe, while his hakuda often aims to create internal damage, instead of external injury, though it might be preferred under some circumstances.

He remains strategic and creative in his fights. Each of his kido spells were carefully chosen, because of their potential of becoming deadly techniques and because of their versatility, and he is known to web magnificent combinations of kido, general techniques and his shikai powers: no one really knows what is the limit of his imagination, because this far, his actions tend to be more than unique.

Personal Abilities:

Name: Sensory Superiority [Emperor's Eye]
Effect: It's not an ability, that people would be completely unheard of, since many kido specialists and those, who lack or have weakened sight or hearing, usually do possess it, and while not necessarily an unique ability, it always has proven to be firm ability, whenever it comes to combat and shinigami missions. While there is a strong innate proficiency for sensory and detection in the background, it's not always just that, including learned knowledge and understanding of spiritual energy as well, mixed up into an ability, that one is not capable of teaching others. It fortifies all of the senses of the shinigami, the five physical senses and the spiritual and mental sensors of the user as well.

First, the five physical senses are enhanced to extent of, as the title suggests, superiority: he sees everything with better detail, with much clearer vision and greater aim, hears everything sharper than a human being does, smells acutely, tastes delicately and has a strong sensitivity to touch. In the mental department, this allows for faster reflexes, quicker reaction, better observation skills and even supernatural empathy, which allows him to feel one's moods and notice changes in one's behavior.

Then for the spiritual part, it mainly fortifies the naturally acute reiatsu detection, allowing one to possess a very large range for detection of faintest bits of spiritual energy, ability to track down targets via spiritual signature, and great skill in determining type, strength and nature of target's abilities and techniques, even their power level, in a few posts. The awareness is brought to entirely new level, where he doesn't even need physical senses to navigate, and where one has the ability to control one's senses to degree of accessing voluntary, temporary synesthesia, or rather, blending of two separate senses.

General Techniques:

Technique Name: Me no Ten'nō ~ Emperor's Eye
Technique Description: Despite the name, which refers to a visual organ, the technique goes way beyond one's physical sight. It allows one to sense completely everything and anything around them - hidden or visible - no matter how small detail it might be. Eliyah describes it as a simple procedure, which it definitely is not; instead of concentrating on his senses to bring them to their very limits, he "zones out" of his human senses and capabilities, and takes on the role of an all-seeing emperor. With the technique, which is certainly among his most treasured and trusted tools, he will, though temporarily, achieve a supreme form of analysis, observation and prediction, that leaves a beyond average spiritual sensing abilities looking terribly pale and untrustworthy.

Not only it bestows enhanced observation, analysis and prediction skills on the wielder of technique, but also allows them to alter their consciousness to fit into a way of thinking, that seems almost... inhuman and frighteningly accurate - one will suddenly be able to process information more quick, gain deep understanding of the things their senses are exposed to, and have all of those senses enhanced for a short moment. The latest of the gained traits, enhanced senses, mean a lot of things to the wielder of technique; for example, their eyesight, sense of touch and hearing becomes more adapted to an experience of telescopic details and clarity, in a much greater distance than one would be normally able, and even to a supernatural degree - including x-ray vision (sees through solid objects), seismic sense (ability to feel vibrations on surfaces) and panoramic (360-degree) sight. The enhancements of taste and smell demonstrate the bestowed skill of detecting and recognizing whatever they see, and even the ability to tell something about the object/person, without any explanation to how they know it. Also, the said senses grant one with ability to detect poisons, diseases and lies. General awareness of one's surrounding becomes so advanced, that there is no words one can use to describe it (he would need the ability to express oneself with supernatural precision, which he, unfortunately, lacks).

In addition, one's mental senses are also enhanced. The wielder of technique is granted with a supernatural sense for time and space, body awareness, energy and condition of other people. The first of these means, that one has a perfect internal clock and measuring device, being calculate how long something would take and what is the mass and distance of an object they are visually exposed to, for example. Enhanced body awareness not only enhances their agility and coordination, but blesses them with perfect aim, sense of momentum and acceleration, and balance. Sense for condition of others includes empathy, but also the ability to read behaviors, expressions, gestures and character, recognize meaningful relationships between people. When heightened, this allows one to detect and observe emotional imprints and signatures around them, in other people and the surrounding - for instance, allowing him to collect information from objects of emotional attachment or getting full visions of memories tied to said object (psychometry).

First of these additional senses is the ability to perceive physical energies, such as electricity and temperature, which, when enhanced, allows the user to accurately perceive and calculate the amount and the location of energy surrounding them - in mundane words, he can sense how hot or cold an object is or the amount of electrical voltage.


In the mental department, this allows for faster reflexes, quicker reaction, better observation skills and even supernatural empathy, which allows him to feel one's moods and notice changes in one's behavior.

Then for the spiritual part, it mainly fortifies the naturally acute reiatsu detection, allowing one to possess a very large range for detection of faintest bits of spiritual energy, ability to track down targets via spiritual signature, and great skill in determining type, strength and nature of target's abilities and techniques, even their power level, in a few posts. The awareness is brought to entirely new level, where he doesn't even need physical senses to navigate, and where one has the ability to control one's senses to degree of accessing voluntary, temporary synesthesia, or rather, blending of two separate senses.


Technique Name: Fusshoku Oni -- Dispelling Demon
Technique Description: A technique, which acts as the proof of his proficiency with spiritual energies and ultimately his understanding for the manipulation of energy's composition. While there exists a similar technique, called Hanki, which is capable of nullifying energy, speed and strength of an attack directed to them, but one could not really compare it with this phenomenon, where the user rather dispels or breaks down the energy, rather than nullifying it. The practitioner uses his knowledge of differences between spiritual energies, and manipulates this knowledge into making any energy-based attack fall apart into bits of harmless energy; in case of reiatsu/reiryoku/reishi based physical attacks, the speed and the strength is dispelled as well, simply stopping the opponent if the technique is successful. Cooldown for this technique is either two posts between uses against a technique or one post between uses against a kido.

Technique Effect Chart:

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: If the opponent is two or more tiers lower than the user, their spiritual energies are completely dispelled, and any effects of their reiatsu automatically negated as well: high numbered kido spells are broken with ease. In terms of physical attacks, now the speed is affected along with strength and energy fueling the attack, and since all aspects of the attack are stripped off, the enemy is stopped completely, and those of more than three tiers lower are paralyzed for one post.

Opponent is One Tier Lower: If the opponent is one tier lower when compared to the user, their spiritual energy attacks are dispelled and made useless against the user, while their higher level kido spells are broken with concentration. The physical attacks are stripped off their strength and energy fueling them, but the attack itself doesn't stop unless blocked, not reducing the speed in any manner: this basically renders hand to hand techniques very weak, but swordsmanship techniques might remain as deadly as they were.

Opponent is Equal Tier: If the opponent is in equal tier with the user, their attack's spiritual energy breaks down as soon as the technique is activated, never reaching the user, and mid-strength kido spells by the enemy are broken easily. When it comes to physical attacks, the additional boost, that the spiritual energy gives to the attack, is nullified, but it otherwise remains the same: in some cases, this will mean the attack loses it's power, however.

Opponent is One Tier Higher: If opponent is of one tier higher when compared to the user, only half of their attack's spiritual energy withers away, raising user's tier with one point when it comes to the defense against said attack, and mid-strength kido spells can be broken with concentration. Again the energy fueling a physical attack is split in two, allowing for a tier up in defense towards the attack.

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: If the opponent is more than two tier higher, this technique is rendered useless against their spiritual energy based techniques, but it still affects their kido spells of low number (1-30) and successfully dispels them.

Technique Name: Eishōhaki -- Incantation Abandonment
Technique Description: A kido technique, that allows the caster abandon the use of spoken incantation entire, without having to sacrifice the full strength of spell: you see, anyone can perform an incantationless kido spell, but the power of spell is always greatly reduced by the lack of incantation, and that's the difference between that and this technique. By abandoning an incantation the caster also decreases the amount of time necessary for casting the spell, allowing quicker casting than usual.

Technique Name: Gyakukidō -- Reverse Spirit Way
Technique Description: A very unique kido technique, that is far beyond what a standard officer would be able to learn: this technique is a testimony of his reputation as a kido specialist. He is capable of turning offensive destruction spells into defensive or binding spells, by switching the poles of kido composition, and in other words, switch a Hado spell into a Bakudo spell, reversing the type of the kido. If desired, effect of kido can be reversed as well, leading into countless of possible results, like making a repulsion spell an attraction/magnetism spell. This is a powerful form of kido manipulation, since it crafts an entirely new kido within less than a second, and would be considered genius even by the top class practitioners.

Technique Name: Oni Dekopin -- Demon Headpoke
Technique Description: A hakuda technique, where one enhances a small physical action with moderate amount of spiritual energy, resulting in an effect, which's strength ranges from a small push to physical force strong enough to send an opponent flying through multiple constructs. This particular action is traditionally performed by pulling a finger back against their thumb, and flicking it at opponent, but in a situation where it for a reason or another, would be inconvenient to perform, another simple action would be just pushing their hand in the direction of wanted target. The cooldown for it is three posts.

Technique Effect Chart: This effect chart is special in a manner, that it applies to the medium range only: if the technique is used on a foe, that is within range of one and half meters, then it gains the attack boost of +1 AR points, and if the technique is used on a foe, that is more than thirty meters away, it decreases the effect with -1 AR points.

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The opponent is met with vast force, far beyond anything they have felt before, sending them flying backwards in the speed of a missile and in the strength of an asteroid, powerful enough to make them crash through multiple constructs and even then fly a considerable distance away, potentially dealing immense amount of damage as well, easily breaking bones and causing major injury as a result.

Opponent is One Tier Lower: The opponent is met with a powerful force, that will upon impact, send them flying backwards in incredible speed and strength, enough to make them crash through several constructs or walls, dealing great amount of damage, capable of breaking bones and inflicting major injuries during their impact to whatever object is nearby.

Opponent is Equal Tier: The opponent is met with a strong force, that will upon impact, send them flying backwards in speed and strength strong enough to make them crash through a single construct, dealing fair amount of damage and chance for broken bones.

Opponent is One Tier Higher: The opponent is met with a decent force, enough to pull them to a construct or a wall, but not strong enough to make them fly right through it, even if they use reiatsu to protect themselves from the attack.

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: The opponent, if not using reiatsu to protect themselves from damage or caught off guard, will be pushed back by a force equal to that of an average adult man, but this effect can be easily negated via reiatsu use.



THE ZANPAKUTO




Zanpakuto Name: Gyokūryū (Jade Dragon)

Zanpakuto Theme: Greek Fire

Sealed Appearance: Even when the zanpakuto lies on it's sealed state, all aspects of Gyokūryū's power and elegance become apparent to outsiders. Forged personally for Eliyan, it's a katana of the shorter kind, and like all katanas, it has a handle built to be held with both hands. In a sense, it is perceived as more of an ornament than an instrument of war, even though it has proven to be quite proficient with causing bloodshed and severing heads from bodies.

It has a handle with jade colored silk cord wrapping, with tiny pieces of jade gems placed as decoration. The sheath is lacquered black, but where is artistic paintings of green color in it. When it comes to guard, it's the only part of zanpakuto that is completely made of jade, and it takes the shape of heptagram.

The zanpakuto's blade itself is made of light metal, that naturally yields a little when it clashes against another swords, yet has smaller chance of breaking than those blades than are more unyielding. When swung, the blade moves with gracefulness and quite swiftly, because of it's lighter composition, when compared to an ordinary katana: the edge is made to be extremely sharp and because of this, it phases through flesh and bone quite easily. It's slightly curved in the shape, when closely looked at.

Spirit Appearance:


Gyokūryū, in her true form, appears a female jade dragon of great beauty, exactly as her name suggests. The dragon's body is completely ethereal, being composed of jade-tinted light and several flammable gaseous chemicals, while in fact, the details of body are quite visible. Her scales always shine like a sunset of green color, and her strong figure is built elegantly, like she was a queen of her kind. She must be at least twelve times bigger than her shinigami master in this form, if not more.

Like her appearance, her aura is rather majestic. She is capable of speaking verbally or telepathically as a dragon, and her voice is far more melodious than of any woman. In her back, she has a set of wings, so it's pretty obvious that she can fly. Also, she is capable of breathing green fire.

It's not uncommon for a zanpakuto to be able to manifest in multiple forms, and so, Gyokūryū can appears as she wishes. However, outside her dragon form, she prefers to appear as a woman, whose clothes seems to be made of jade itself. She might be young or old, but either way, there is an aura of enigma and wisdom around her; she always seems to have green eyes brighter than stars itself, a flawless skin and long hair of varying colors, that she usually wears in a chinese top knot.

Spirit Personality: To the outside, Gyokūryū, could be considered extremely enigmatic dragon, who is not only ridiculously wise, but also who knows a lot more than she lets on; as a result, her advice comes mainly in form of symbolic words, poetry, questions and metaphors. While she could help her master by providing him knowledge of what he should do, she prefers to keep most information to herself and encourages him to listen to his heart, which utterly annoys him.

Her role is to be a guide and a teacher, when it comes to spirituality and spiritual growth, but years have pushed her closer with her master than he is with anyone else; she is like a mother figure, or at least, she loves him like he would be her son. While not necessarily protective, Gyokūryū doesn't enjoy putting him in danger or seeing him harmed in general, and while she denies to feel anything like worry for him, her heart always skips a beat when his life is threatened. As a part of her master's soul, she is capable of sensing any thought or feeling of his at all times, in addition to having access into his memories.

Inner World: A world of enigma, that is subject to constant change, and where anything is possible: Gyokūryū is the one in charge here, and she will mold this world to suit her master's lessons. Sometimes it's something you would find in the Soul Society, like an evergreen forest, a coastline without an end, a small village or a palace of jade, and sometimes it's something more surreal, like an ocean, where trees grow from the surface pointing at the bottom, and where there is butterflies instead of fish. It could be anything, and any material laws do not necessarily restrict it.

Shikai Release Phrase: "Illuminate the sea and the sky. Paint the horizon in fire. Gyokūryū."

Shikai Appearance: Now, after the release phrase has been spoken, the zanpakuto reveals it's true radiance and unimaginable beauty of it's spirit in form of a blade. It becomes the true ornament and the representation of her power, and while the sealed appearance was considered as such, this form just goes beyond from that: no man could ever build such a beauty, and it should be heavily considered whenever it is actually work of the gods or not. However, in it's beauty, there is monstrosity and deadliness hidden inside, which lead the enemies into state of bliss when they are killed by such a beauty.

The zanpakuto is now shorter, size of a wakizashi, and it wasn't overstating, when it was called a sword no smith could forge. It's entirely made out of jade. Not only the handle and guard, but the blade itself, is now composed of the expensive, yet more than durable jewel. It shines in it's greatness, whenever the light hits it, and it's said, that in this new form, the imperfections of the former beauty are now fixed.

For example, it doesn't yield anymore, and instead, could make the hardest blades of all yield under it's strength, and it's not curved anymore. It sharpness is on new level too, and with one perfect swipe, it passes through an enemy like there was only air inside them, and due being lighter than ever, it moves more swifter than in the sealed form. The sheath is made of the same material as the blade and is now used as a weapon as deadly as the zanpakuto itself: when it comes to handle, it's wrapped in tight jade-colored strings that shine like jewel. It seems that guard is the only part not changed.

Shikai Abilities:

Name: Greek Fire Generation
Effect: This zanpakuto possesses a very peculiar ability, one that hasn't been seen in the history of Soul Society before, and it's the ability to generate greek fire: an extremely dangerous, volatile form of artificial flame, that is more than famous for it's ability to burn in extreme circumstances, like underwater or without oxygen, for it's ability to burn down entire metropolises when a mere drop is spilled, and for it's unique colorization of jade and green. It's original form is a green, shining liquid, which when sparked, bursts into magnificent jade-colored flames of great size. Composed of a few known and many foreign chemicals, it reacts with/is sparked by spiritual energy and tactile contact with living only. Because of the volatile nature, the reaction of the liquid turning into flame is strong enough to cause impact.

The process of generation is pretty simple. At it's most basic, the wielder swings the zanpakuto, which produces the unique fluid and sends it into the air, before setting it alight with his reiatsu to bring the flames to life. It doesn't need oxygen, combustible or temperature to burn, because the chemicals produce all of this by themselves, which is a huge advantage, since it will catch it's surrounding in green flames as well, without much chances of it being extinguished. Only way to stop the flames is to surround it with object, that wont catch fire (water doesn't work here), and wait until it has burned out by itself.

In terms of effects on different tiers, this fire is pretty basic. +2 tiers higher might get slight, but still painful burns, while 1 tier higher gets minor burns. Those of equal tier get moderate burns, when people 1 tier weaker are affected by major burns and +2 tiers weaker, in the other hand, get immense burns.

The liquid itself, is highly acidic, meaning if it comes in contact with wounds or is ingested as it is, it will cause the victim formidable agony. This means, that if using fire is out of question for some good reason, the chemical liquid, that the blade is capable of producing, is enough to burn the targets. For effect chart of this, equal tier might get an acid burn and feels moderate pain (it's still painful), those of lower tiers get greater acid burns and feels greater pain as well, while those of higher tiers do not get burned by the acid, but it will still be painful if it comes in contact with a wound or is ingested/injected.

In case the fire doesn't spread, and remains trapped/unable to catch other objects in fire, it will burn out in 5 posts, but it has the potential of remaining aflame forever if it is fed from the outside.

Name: Thermal Immunity
Effect: It's an ability, that allows the wielder of zanpakuto to reach immunity to high temperatures, meaning while they can feel hot, they are immune to burning hot temperatures and anything that would be too painful to touch. Now, while it's called immunity, fire/heat-based of those who are +3 tiers above him can break through this defense and make him lose the advantage. However, if he was on 3-1, the enemy would have to be on 2-1 or above to cause their fire to burn the wielder: the gap is a great advantage on his part. He can also channel this ability to his clothing and blade as well.

The source of this ability is somewhat unique as well. When released, the reiatsu of zanpakuto is pumped into his veins, creating a resistance to his own flames and flames of anyone else via enhancing the body.

Shikai Techniques:

Technique Name: Ryūhimaku -- Dragon's Coat
Technique Description: If the blade is able to produce liquid, that turns into green fire, and the wielder of zanpakuto is immune to flames, then, isn't it only logical for them to possess a technique to coat themselves in fire. The wielder can spill the liquid from the blade to their skin or clothing, just a finger or their entire body, and even their blade, via use of the base ability of zanpakuto, and then spill it whenever they wish so. It makes close quarter combat very difficult for your foes, and you're literally on fire for the next moments, so you're gonna be visible: because of greek fire's laws, it will last only for 5 posts.

Technique Effect Chart: The base ability effect chart applies. Opponents +2 tiers lower are immensely burned by the flames, while those 1 tier lower get major burns. Those of equal tiers get moderate burns. If you are 2+ tier higher you get slight burns, and 1 tier higher people get minor burns. However, it's still powerful fire, so if +2 tier higher decides to take a nap in the flame, they will get cremated.

Technique Name: Gyokūkōzan -- Jade Mine
Technique Description: Like said, the liquid reacts with spiritual energy, but physical contact with living things works as well. That was the thought, when the wielder came up with this ability. By leaving small circles of the fluid in the ground, he could create greek fire mines, which explode wildly into flames when someone touches them or when the wielder sparks it himself with reiatsu.

Technique Effect Chart: The base ability effect chart applies. Opponents +2 tiers lower are immensely burned by the flames, while those 1 tier lower get major burns. Those of equal tiers get moderate burns. If you are 2+ tier higher you get slight burns, and 1 tier higher people get minor burns. However, it's still powerful fire, so if +2 tier higher decides to take a nap in the flame, they will get cremated.

Technique Name: Ryū no Shikyū -- Womb of the Dragon
Technique Description: Creating a larger circle of the fluid in the ground, the wielder can create either a barrier made out of greek fire or a burning trap for their enemies, but the latter can prove not so wise, since the fire has possibility of spreading or burning whatever is inside. As a shield however, it's rather useful, since only the most reckless out of his enemies will jump into the flames and try to break through. It lasts for 5 posts, as all of shikai techniques.

Technique Effect Chart: The base ability effect chart applies. Opponents +2 tiers lower are immensely burned by the flames, while those 1 tier lower get major burns. Those of equal tiers get moderate burns. If you are 2+ tier higher you get slight burns, and 1 tier higher people get minor burns. However, it's still powerful fire, so if +2 tier higher decides to take a nap in the flame, they will get cremated.

Technique Name: Taikyaku-hi -- Fire's Retreat
Technique Description: Because of the flames of this ability have potential to burn forever, there must be a technique capable of extinguishing the fire, in case there is a situation, that demands the wielder to be able to do so. It releases strong reiatsu impulse to the flames' composition, causing the chemicals to burn out immediately and kill the fire off: in fact, this technique is the only one in wielder's shikai, that indicates control over the flames beyond the generation of greek fire.

The downside of this technique is tricky. If you haven't noticed, none of the previous techniques have a cool-down, and this was done purposely. When the wielder retreats the flames, they also seal the process of generation for 3 posts, essentially putting the whole shikai ability in hold.
