A quiet stomp of boots hit the near-empty street as a vaguely familiar face made her way towards an amazingly unchanged outdoor sake shop. Not only was this place not different in the least, but the bartender was even the same. It was to the figures obvious pleasure that he had recognized her immediately, a warm and welcoming smile crossing his features at the sight of her face. She had been friends with this man for quite some time now. Yes... Probably over 200 years now, wasn't it? Hinoko, as she was called, raised her hand in similar greeting, not bothering to say a word, but nearly releasing a purr or two out of delight to see him again. "Hey, Hey hime! What's shakin'?! The usual?"

Ah, that familiar nickname. He always insisted on calling her princess, though she acted as the complete opposite of it. "Indeed, Sven... The usual." He nodded in approval, turning around to get to work on what she liked best. Sven was a good man, and she never particularly noticed his preference for her. Perhaps because of her aromantic tendencies? Regardless, he had the best damn ramen and sake on this soulless rock. He had earned his fair share of thankful kisses for his excellent cooking skills, as it was. She probably still had a tab, but neither were in a rush to have it paid back. Hinoko certainly had enough money, but she wanted to pay him back with a full interest rate to make sure he knew she valued his booth quite a bit.

Though, it had been a few decades, as far as Hinoko figured, since she had been in these streets. Maybe the tab would have been forgotten...? Whether or not she would be welcomed here still, was an entirely different matter however. So far anyway, it seemed that she would be. Maybe it was just going to be few particular people, but they knew she tended to disappear at random, and when she did, it was for long periods of time. She wasn't even sure if her rank was still even valid at this point, or if the practice was still being observed by the others. Just like the last time she showed up out of nowhere, Hina had placed herself upon a stool at an outdoor bar. Ordering a hot sake and a bowl of ramen, she figured it would only be a matter of time before someone showed up because of the sudden Reiki spike in the area.

Other than that, she simply waited. Enjoying her food and the always delectable sake from a bar that had visited countless times before. As far as she was concerned, the winters down on Earth were rather irritating, as she liked warm things. But, then again... Experiencing the cold made the warm things all that much more comforting. Her time spent on Earth was not entirely for naught however, as she travelled, saw, assisted, and healed. Her general nature is that of a grumpy doctor who would go out of his way for anyone. Her sailor's tongue didn't often help her case, when convincing stupid parents that she should take a look at their children. Other than that daily kind of schedule, she did manage to get herself set up quite well out in the middle of nowhere, and begun construction of a small settlement. It was mostly for her amusement, to observe how specifically selected people could function in a group. The necessities were there in the beginning, and it was simply something to pass her time by.

Sure, Hina could have come back at anytime, but the amusements she found on Earth were entirely more entertaining than filling out paperwork and training up in this droll place. Maybe, in an hour or so, she could liven this place up a bit. That sounded like a bit of fun that she could have... And perhaps this time, Hinoko might even have some friends to join the party. How so? She heard footsteps approaching from behind her, that's how. Hina remained still however, and continued to eat her delicious ramen and sake mix. It was easier to simply seem like she didn't notice them. It would not be she who would be caught off guard, if it came to that.

Luke was on late night patrol through the seireitei, it was a mostly quiet night thankfully, his day work had been more of the usual, well, not so usual as he had been spying on the nobles of the higher end of the seireitei, it had been his first time spying on the noble families of the seireitei, they weren't your run-of-the-mill civilians but familes that held great power within the seireitei so he had be on his guard at all times, hiding his spiritual pressure and keeping a eye on things, fortunately, it was relatively easy; either hiding in trees or large bushes, although he did "borrow" his female mod soul's gigai so he could enter some homes without anyone knowing he was really spying on them; he looked after one of the noble family's sons while one was going out for a walk around the gardens they owned, he managed to ask the boy; who was about twelve about things that were going on, indirectly of course.

Once he finished thinking about what he had done that day, he came across a noodle sake shop, Luke had seen the place a couple of times on patrol but not really bothered to enter till then when he felt a strange reiatsu gently coming from inside, interested to see who this reiatsu belonged to, Luke entered the shop where a female shinigami with long red hair sat, eating away at ramen and sake, a mix of some sort, properly a specialty of the shop, Luke sat down next to her, he had a towering frame for sure, being six foot five inches tall, with his warrior yet soft features, black hair with two, horns appearing to be growing from his hair, blood red eyes and black and red karate Gi and haori, black riding gloves and thick, black leather boots, he turned his gaze to the shop owner.

"Can I have a prawn ramen, good sir? no alcohol or sake though, please" Luke said in a somewhat cold manner, the third seat keeping a eye on the women that sat next to him, as the only other person in here, it was most likely she was the center of the strange reiatsu but he decided not to say anything and just observe for now unless she wanted to talk to him.

If the lad had been trying to hide himself and the level of command that he no doubt had, he wasn't doing so well at it. Even she had a hard time doing such a thing, so it wasn't particularly her place to judge. T'was also obvious that he came looking for the riatsu spike from this area, and found her. Though, she didn't intentionally let that sort of thing out. It sort of just happens at times, which is rather annoying in most cases. Besides the fact that he's so blatantly observing her, it would be in her best interest to politely excuse herself and disappear for a little longer. However... Hinoko was rather tired of hiding all the time.

As a show of good will, she leaned against her elbow, took a sip, and inclined her head towards Sven. "Sven...? Put 'is meal on m'tab, would you?" She gave a slightly crooked smile, eyes flicking over to the gentleman beside her. The barman gave her an unidentifiable look, but said nothing in reply, likely doing as she asked. He would be paid regardless, after all. Also, upper ranked shingami were generally easy to spot, and he was of no exception... Especially in this kind of area, where only patrols went through. Though, even if he were not higher ranked, he would definitely be well on his way to being as such, by the looks of him. Suppressing one's power can only do so much to hide who you are.

"Hinoko. Former Lieutenant of Division 7. Came back recently. Looks like nothin' 'as changed." Hinoko was probably wrong in that regard, as she hadn't really had a chance to look around more than she already has. Her particular interest sat simply with the general day to day. Her old position held no meaning for her, and neither did she want it back if someone had taken over in her absence. Maybe one day she might get herself back to that rank, but it looks as though the standards might be a bit higher than Hina remembered.

Luke was quite surprised she was paying for his meal, it was the last thing he was expecting someone, especially a stranger who barely knew him to pay for his meal but he continue to stay silent as his meal was brought to him, it indeed smelled great, he started to eat while he listened to her introduce herself as Hinoko, a former lieutenant of squad seven.

"Well, this explains the large amount of spiritual energy coming from her; a former lieutenant would make sense, although I haven't seen anything recent in the case files of a missing lieutenant so it's possible she left before I was posted to squad three" Luke thought as he ate, the ramen the chap made was something else, quite tasty to say the least, he would have to come here again if he was off-duty, he paused eating for a moment to turn his blood red gaze to her.

"Well, welcome back, former lieutenant Hinoko...since we are on the subject of names, I might of well give you mine, common courtesy of course; I am Luke Yasenha, current third seat of squad three; you maybe surprised at how much things have changed since your..."disappearance", are you going back to your squad or are you thinking of starting from the bottom once again?" Luke asked her, he was wondering what had caused her to suddenly return to the seireitei from wherever she was hiding, in any case, he could update her case report, marking her as "active" once again plus any information he gained during their chat could be put into the report for updated information, getting such information is never easy so he played it causal for now, although the chances of being able to fight her if things turned ugly wasn't pleasent currently; he rather not break her spirit so soon after she had returned so he worked on keeping it peaceful for now but had his guard up a little, just in case she tried to pull something.
