Based on a series of light novels, Kure-nai is about the adventures and misadventures of 16-year-old Kurenai Shinkurou. Shinkurou is an authority in settling disputes between people, and finds his life turned upside down one day when he is assigned as a bodyguard for Kuhouin Murasaki, the daughter of a powerful plutocratic family.

Basically a 16 year old kid named Kurenai must protect a child, so basically a body guard. Kurenai is a poor kid who lives in a crappy apartment. He gets money i think by taking jobs. One of his job is to protect a girl. The girl is hunted down by a powerful family because of family problems. The girl ends up staying at the crappy apartment. This anime is pretty hard to explain.
