Zanpaktou Information
Looks sealed:Light blue handle with a brass end, a white patten criss-crosses across the whole hilt; The blade itself is nearly twice as long as any katana.
Zanpaktou Name: Ganbaru
Shikai Appearence: sword transforms into elbow length gloves and metal sides which runs down from the palm(and metal knuckles) to the elbow. While the cloth of the armor is a light blue, the metal that extends down the arm is a white metal with criss-crossing light blue patterns.
Zanpaktou Release Phrase: Stand firm, O wavering soul.
Shikai Ability:
Ridairekuto: A dangerous process of absorbing a rietsu-based attack and amplifying a kido technique of the weilders own. Ridairekuto user must release the pent-up rietsu in a timely fashion(1 minute) or severe internal damage is done to the user.
Shi-Rudo: layers his spiritual powers around his body for increased defense. Can be used in unison with Ridairekuto to form extra layers of rietsu in a form of hierro.
Meditari: A long katana appears from hinder each palm that is attached to the armor, which act as conductors for spiritual energy in the air. Quite a slow process of absorbing spiritual energy; an ability which is stronger in Soul Society and Hueco mundo and less effective in the human world.
Meditari Ririsu(Meditate release-sword): The slowly stored spiritual energy is converted into Reiryoku, which is stored inside the katana for later use.
Bankai Appearance: His Zanpaktou takes form with his shinigami uniform and transforms into a flexible metal armor. All white in color with blue criss-crossing patterns that run throughout the uniform; even his head is covered in a full facemask of white and light blue. The daul swords from his shikai form appear behind his head and act as a 2way condcutor, cross-transferring the Reiryoku into Rietsu.
Bankai Name:Bengosha(Defender)
Bankai Ability: Greatly raises the defenses of the weilder and reduces the cast time of long-based Kidos. The layers of hierro are compressed even tighter and extra layers are added ontop. While at the same time, kido which normally require an incantation are nearly instant because his sword is applying the incantation itself with increased effect.

History: Long since a part of 9th Devision, back to when Kisuke Urahara was around. Saved by Kaname Tosen himself when he was a spirit, he prevented him from becoming a hollow and led his soul over into Soul Society. From there he was trained like every other shinigami and put to the rigorous tests, some mental and some physical.
On his first elimination mission to the real world, he was assigned to lead three other fellow trainees in eliminating a hollow that had escaped them some days past. In the process however, two of the shinigami were eaten and yet again, Kaname Tosen had come to save them. Though the mission was an evident failure, Tosen had reported the mission a success despite the loss of two trainees. He was assigned a regular member of 9th devision and followed orders from Kaname Tosen.
Loyal to previous Captain Kaname Tosen, he was thrown into despair when his captain betrayed his own squad and everyone in Soul Society.
For quite a while he sulked about not caring, but his friend Raiden Shokakku was there for him and encouraged him to do him best for the squad; this envigorated Shinobu to try harder and be a example to the rest of the squad. It was later on that Raiden Shokakku was approved to be the next captain of 9th squad; Shinobu was delighted and proved his capabilities on each mission he was given, no matter how trivial or ardurous.
It was finally determined that he would be the next Luitenant of 9th squard, Shinobu secretly expected that it was Cmmander Raiden Shokakku who had applied and recommended him for the position, for which he was grateful and loyal to now.
Personality: Serious person by nature, intelligent and positive outlook on life; always smiling.
Prefers a quiet setting, but occasionally enjoys loud settings; completely loyal to his Captain raiden Shokaku and has a burning desire to see Soul Society prosper and shine anew from the disasters Aizen had brought.
He loves melon bread and often times confuses and surprises people when he miraculously produces it from almost nowhere. Though he has a serious nature, he is super kind and knows just how to talk to people. He is always keenly aware of his surrounding and looking for ways to help people however he can.
Shinobu focus on kidous and bakudous, he believes that the key to confrontation is the purest forms of spiritual power. While he can use his zanpaktou to attack and defend, he is no master swordsman. he prefers to let Kido solve his confrontations.
