Who are you?







    Name: Imaza Meikkun Gasshou
    Alias: Meikkun, Bakemono
    Age: 260
    Age of Appearance: 18
    Gender: Male
    Race/Species: Shinigami/Vizard
    Character Alignment: Neutral

    Appearance:
    Imaza stands at 5'10 about 150lbs athletic build, he is an albino and suffers from severe Photosensitivity.  He keeps his long white hair tied back in a ponytail with a red ribbon. His eyes are also red/pink in color. He must wear a skin tight black suit with an attached hood long black gloves and a white ceramic mask to protect himself from sunlight, He does wear his shinigami robes over top of this special outfit.

    Imaza's protective outfit usually causes people to react negatively toward him and it makes interacting with people difficult. The mask obscures his voice usually causing him to speak loudly, the rest of the outfit makes it hard for him to feel anything because if there is a hole or rip and sunlight touches his skin it will cause a painful burn or rash if left uncovered.

    The only time that Imaza looks "normal" is at night, this is the only time that he can walk around uncovered.  He looks ghostly with his long white hair and red/pink eyes, his body is muscular and well taken care of. His shinigami robes are tighter fitting and the top is almost completely closed up. He also has a special harness that his zanpakuto is carried in on his back.

    Style/Clothing:
    Imaza can usually be seen wearing his skin tight protective suit and mask, his zanpakutou hangs on his back.  He does have shinigami robes and a cloak that he wears from time to time. His style is reserved, but going to great lengths to make sure his appearance was professional and functional.  He has a harness that carries his zanpakuto, the part where his zanpakuto is moves to allow him to draw his odachi length blade.

    When in the human world Imaza can usually be seen wearing combat boots, long black gloves, baggy black pants, a long black trench coat, a high collar shirt and a gas mask with tinted lenses. Imaza saw this outfit once before and thought that it was common garb for the human world.  This outfit offers him protection from the sun and helps keep the humans away due to its intimidating appearance.

    Tattoo's/Scars/Etc:
    Imaza Has large circular scar approximately where his solar plexus is located, he was dragged out into the sun and as he was dieing he was impaled. Mentioning his hair and eyes due to being albino and having severe photosensitivity his hair is white and red/pink eyes.

    Personality:
    Imaza keeps a calm and collected attitude and mind at all times, he may also seem cold at times but that is because he views duty and honor as the first thing one should up hold.  Though he was always hidden from the world, he wouldn't let his "imprisonment" turn him against his fellow warriors.  Imaza would never when engaging another shinigami or spiritual being other than a hollow go for a killing blow, he believes that death is only reserved for unforgivable crimes.  He views himself more as a juror than an enforcer.

    Imaza is ruthless in his dealings when collecting information, he will go to such lengths as intimidation or worse. His time as an actor allows Imaza to fake emotion and injuries, this skill makes reading Imaza difficult at times. When Imaza is betrayed or given wrong Information from one of his contacts his normally calm and collected self gives way to a whirlwind of anger. Though the times when Imaza loses his cool are few when they do occur, almost nothing except confronting the individual can calm him.

    In the human world Imaza's acting skills become one of his skills or assets. He seems to come off as a soldier when interacting with people and things. He is suspicious of everyone that he does not know or is suppose to interact with.  When interacting with people in the human world Imaza will stand just out of reach and remained covered limiting those around him from being able to touch him. When Imaza is presented with a situation where he would be in the sun he becomes withdrawn and agitated.

    Likes:

    • As part of his training in life and his isolation Imaza enjoyed reading about the outside world and it poetry, Imaza would frequently write his own poetry.

    • Imaza was trained by several teachers and his own in the arts of swordplay and fencing.

    • When Imaza is relaxing and when he is talking business he enjoys drinking tea.

    • As the only time when Imaza can be uncovered he enjoys walking at night and his favorite spot is in the gardens.

    • Imaza developed a taste for spicy foods shortly after his arrival in Soul Society.



    Dislikes:

    • Imaza dislikes betrayers, this is a lingering effect from his human life where he was betrayed by members of his clan.

    • Imaza dislikes people who accuse himself or others because most of the time they themselves have done something wrong.

    • Imaza tends to associate heat with the sun so he dislikes the feeling.

    • Imaza wants to walk in the sun but he indirectly dislikes the sun.

    •  Imaza does not like people who don't understand his "work" because they tend to try to criticize him and make him change his ways.


    Ambitions/Dreams/Goals:

    • Imaza has always wanted to walk in the sun without his protective outfit ever since he could remember.

    • Imaza wants to return honor to the world, even though at times his motives and actions are not honorable.

    • Imaza knows that his choice in a side profession could shorten his life span significantly so his goal is to live as long as possible.



    Strengths:

    • Imaza was trained in the sword play and continued to train in zanjutsu.

    • Imaza trained extensively in Hakuda while in the academy and afterwards, this was to supplement his defensive abilities.

    • Imaza's calm and collected thinking allows him to engage in level headed "negotiations" with his informants and in allows him to "see" clearly in combat.

    • Imaza is incredibly good at information collecting, he has been doing this for years especially while being an actor.

    • Imaza's acting ability allows him to hide his true intentions and emotions, this is necessary for him to gather information.

    Fears & Weaknesses:

    • Imaza's main weakness is his severe to Deadly allergic reaction to sunlight

    • Imaza has a fear of the sun because of his death allergy to sunlight.

    • Imaza doesn't like being touched unless he is aware of it or allows it.

    • Imaza has an intense fear of being caught in the sun

    • Imaza is plagued by frequent nightmares of being dragged into the sun and being impaled.

    Fighting Style:  Imaza is a close range fighter, he is proficient in Aikido, Ju Jitsu, Okinawan Karate, Kendo, Iaido.  Imaza was trained from an early age in combat forms and arts, his father believing that they were Royalty and that he needed to know these things.

    Personal Abilities:

      (Shinigami may not start with more than ONE personal ability. Personal abilities are special powers unique to your character. They are obtained at birth or through freak occurrences. These cannot be things you would able to teach others or simply obtain through hard work along.)


      Name: Extreme Reiatsu Control
      Effect:

    Allows Imaza to control his reiatsu to such a degree that he can become undetectable from the background spiritual energy or pump less reiatsu into an attack or technique. His level of control over his reiatsu allows him to focus it into his body to enhance the power and length of the attack increasing his attacking range by 3 inches an example being punching or kicking by an opponents head, "missing" them and still making contact.

    General Techniques:

    (Shinigami may NOT start with more than four general techniques. Techniques are not extra abilities, but rather, skills which use your abilities in more extreme forms beyond their basic use. For example... let's say I can shoot fire from my fingers. A technique might be gathering a whole bunch of fire for a few minutes and then shooting a fire-laser from my fingers, doing much more damage than what my ability normally would on it's own. Other special or basic techniques using your normal control over your spiritual energy can also be added here, like adding reiatsu to your punches to inflict more damage, and things like that. Think of abilities as special powers - and think of techniques as moves which use the powers you already have. These are moves your character was taught or trained and developed on their own. They are things anyone would be able to learn and perform unless they are dependent on your unique race or abilities.     Sealed Weapon Appearance: The sword is an Odachi, the tsuba is circular with a creasent moon and sun relief on it.  The handle is wrapped in black and white ending with a red jeweled gold end cap.

    Spirit Appearance: A man clad in a black cloak with a white inside, half of his face is covered in shadow his eyes are white and black(white eye on shadow covered side and black eye on light side)
    Spirit Personality: He is rather neutral about everything, kind of carefree.
    Inner World: The world appears to be barren but there are shadows of things that should be there and appear to not be.

    Shikai Release Phrase: Cover the world in eclipsed light, Hikari to yami no ha
    Shikai Appearance:  The blade stays at Odachi length and appears almost the same as the sealed form but the blade is split down the middle with a white blade on one edge and a blade one on the other edge.

    Shikai Abilities:

    (Shinigami may start with ONE shikai ability; you may have two shikai abilities only if you can get the tier of 3-3 or stronger. If you have two anyway and fail to get that tier, you will simply have to lock one of the abilities so you can't use them until you hit the appropriate rank.     Light/Darkness Manipulation, Imaza Changes his Reiatsu into Darkness Reiatsu and Light Reiatsu. This allows him to use his abilities and only one Reiatsu can be active at a time.

      Technique Description: This ability creates shadows from his Reiatsu, Imaza can change the size and thickness(thickness being how dark the shadow is)of the shadow that is created, to "stronger" characters the shadows seem supernatural or ink in appearance. The ability activates in one post, lasts for 3 posts and cools down for 3 posts.

      Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The shadows appear the same as normal shadows
      Opponent is One Tier Lower: The shadows still appear the same but something seems off about them.
      Opponent is Equal Tier: Opponent can sense that the shadows are reiatsu based but can not pinpoint the difference.
      Opponent is One Tier Higher: Opponent begins to notice the difference in the shadow.
      Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: Opponent can easily determine that the shadow(s) are created. They appear to be inky or supernatural in appearance.

      Technique Description: This ability allows Imaza to enter created shadows from his Reiatsu and normal shadows. The ability activates in one post, lasts for 3 posts and cools down for 3 posts.

      Technique Description: Imaza creates an intense light source from his Light Reiatsu or intensify another nearby light source which can impair an opponents visual senses and allows him to use Hikari gazō. The ability activates in one post, lasts for 3 posts and cools down for 3 posts.

      Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The opponent is completely impaired by the light generated
      Opponent is One Tier Lower: The opponent is impaired by the light making it so they can barely see but recovers (after about 3 posts)
      Opponent is Equal Tier: The opponent is slightly impaired by the light and can barely make out their surroundings but recovers faster(after 2 posts)
      Opponent is One Tier Higher: The opponent is slightly effected by the light source seeing some of the surroundings but everything is kind of whited out and has a chance to dispel the light source
      Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher:The opponent can easily dispel the light source and is barely effected by the light



      Technique Name:Hikari gazō
      Technique Description: This ability allows Imaza to bend the light from his light source to create fun house mirror images of himself which allows him to attack the opponent while being camouflaged by the images. The ability activates in one post, lasts for 3 posts and cools down for 3 posts.

      Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The images look exactlly Imaza and the opponent can not tell the difference between the two, also can not pinpoint him.

      Opponent is One Tier Higher: The opponent can barely pin point Imaza but can begin to recognize the differences between the "copies"

The size of the ball varies depending on the amount of energy being placed into it, The blast could be an explosion or a pillar of energy depending on the power being placed into it.     Spell Effect: An advanced form Sōkatsui, focusing the spiritual energy into their pointer and middle fingers after it is collected the practitioner "pushes" the energy toward the opponent. The attack consists of two bolts of energy with more power than than Hadou #33 Sōkatsui.

    Spell Effect: A modified version of hadou #4, the spell appears as red beam  which is powerful enough to pierce durable opponents and objects, also can be used from a greater distance.



    Are you a Visored?





    Inner Hollow Appearance: Inner Hollow's Name: Bralaoh (Khmer for shield) Bralaoh stands at about 6'8 is incredibly large has two huge shield like plates on his upper arms.  He treats Imaza like a child that he has to protect, Bralaoh understands that if Imaza dies he dies.

    Mask Appearance:  Bralaoh's mask covers all of Imaza's head, there are black feather-like designs coming from the corner of  his right eye. The eye holes are narrow slits and there are four long teeth on the mask (two up an two down)

      Technique Description: An energy blast that consists of firing a highly concentrated blast of Spiritual Energy at a target. Imaza's Cero is black with white swirls, he uses it mostly as a distraction to lure his opponent into close range. It takes one post to charge, lasts for one post and recharges in 2 posts

      Technique Name: Cero Estoque
      Technique Description: A custom ability, Imaza focuses the energy of a cero he has formed on to his Zanpakuto, This ability unleashes the force of a charged cero into one strike. If Imaza's Zanpakuto comes into contact with anything(besides himself) the energy explodes outward toward the object or target, Imaza must charge up a new cero if he wants to use this ability more than once. If Imaza doesn't discharge the blade by making contact with something the energy explodes outward in all directions, causing damage to Imaza and anything close by. It takes one post to charge, lasts for 3 posts and recharges for 2 posts

      Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower:The explosion can not be blocked and causes severe damage to the opponent.

      Opponent is Equal Tier: The opponent can block the attack and defuse some of the energy but it causes mild damage.
      Opponent is One Tier Higher:The opponent can block and defuse more of the energy away causing burns and slight physical damage.
      Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: The opponent can easily block the attack and can discharge the energy away from them causing almost no damage to themselves.

    History:

    Imaza was born into the Gasshou Family whose residence was hidden on Mount Takamagahara.  Imaza was the 4th born male child in his family, unlike his brothers who had died at child birth, Imaza appeared to be healthy except for one thing he was incredibly pale and his eyes were discolored.  His Father,  Lord Gasshou Takashi went to the family Seer to find out the future of the new heir, the message appeared cryptic.  The Seer told him that the cursed heir was to grow into a strong man-child and would wield a great power that would rival any country and that it would follow him to his death. Takashi left the Seer's temple and had it burnt to the ground, for knowledge of this would surely put the only heir to the Gasshou line in danger, few knew of the prophecy.

    At the age of 5, Imaza started his training in becoming a ruler.  Imaza's Grandfather lead him the education process, constantly telling him that he would rule this country and no one would stand in his way.  It was also during this time that the Gasshou family learned that the Young Imaza could never go into direct sunlight unless completely covered, Imaza had run outside after one of his cousins and suddenly began to scream out in pain as his body began to slowly burn.  This was when the secret of the new heir's weakness was finally known by everyone in the Gasshou Compound.  There was a special living quarters and training area made especially for him, after this event that was constantly guarded for his protection.

    On the day of his 10th birthday, The branch family of the Gasshou tried to lead a coup against the main family.  The uprising was lead by Imaza's uncle Satoshi who would have succeeded in killing Imaza if his grandfather hadn't stepped in and killed his uncle.  Imaza's Grandfather lived about a week after the coup and his father had to step in to finish his training.  The Training began to focus from political to more physical.  His father was now the best warrior in the entire clan and Imaza was starting to best his cousins who were 5 years his senior.  Imaza always wanted to play outside in the sun with the rest of his family but was well aware what that would do to him if he did, so he trained relentlessly for the next 6 years.

    On the day of his 16th birthday, the heir of the branch family snuck into Imaza's room and fatally injuring him with a stab threw the chest.  The branch heir dragged Imaza outside into the sunlight of the open court yard, it would be here where Imaza would die slowly from the wound in his chest and from the sun.  Though many of the main family would try to save Imaza there attempts would be fruitless after about half an hour, Imaza passed a way. He awoke next to an incredibly lavish house, it was dusk he would be safe until morning.  Imaza approached the large doors and knocked several times, then finally an old woman opened the door.  She had a kind demeanor and looked at Imaza with shock and a little bit of awe, after Imaza introduced himself she invited him into her home.  The woman's name was Risa, she was a successful troupe leader who had all of her players wear masks instead of make-up.  The old woman "adopted" Imaza and learned of his disease, from that day on she started to turn Imaza into an actor.

       Three years after his arrival, Imaza was a regular actor at the playhouse.  He was known as the eternal actor for he never took off his mask, it was a gift from his "mother".  Imaza had done hundreds of plays in his three years of living in soul society, but it would be on the same night of his favorite play that his life would change.  Imaza was in the last act of the play when a fight broke out in the third row, the play was brought to a stand still as Imaza leaped from the stage with his prop sword in hand, he was able to disable one of the fighters but the other one punched him in face knocking off his mask.  The crowd looked on in shock as Imaza's true appearance was shown, The still conscience fighter stared as Imaza swung for his head.  A sword, a real sword destroyed the prop and a man was standing in front of Imaza, he recognized the man as a shinigami that had frequented the playhouse before.  The man just stood there sword drawn, he reached into his robes and pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to Imaza.  The paper said for anyone who would like to help, go to the north gate and the man turned and walked away. Imaza picked up his mask and walked out of the playhouse, when he got home his "mother" wasn't there, so Imaza packed some clothes and left his home leaving only a note stating he was going to do his part.

    Imaza had gone and joined the Shinigami, while he was enrolled in the academy he focused a lot of his time on his combat skills as these would help keep him alive longer. Imaza constantly thought of that night in the theater and how that shinigami had entered and changed his life forever. Several years had pasted and Imaza finally graduated from the academy and was placed into [  ] Division, early on he had done a lot of small tasks but finally he was given the opportunity to prove his worth. Imaza's mission was to gather information on an incident on the outskirts of Rukongai, Imaza gathered information for 3 weeks before returning with testimonies from the people and the scene. A man had been on a murder spree and Imaza had found him and dispensed justice. Imaza would go out on missions to human world to hunt hollows and he would collect information on his "target" and use that information on other missions as well, he would do menial jobs like being a guard in Soul Society as well. Imaza had lost track of time and how many years had passed but he continued to become stronger and a better collector of information. Imaza proceeded to push to learn how to use his Zanpakuto's power, Imaza would train against anyone he could often at times contemplating fighting a Captain.

    After about 25 years of constant training Imaza was about to give up when finally when in deep meditation trying to connect with his zanpakuto, he heard a voice it was quiet but before long it became louder and louder til Imaza was dragged into his inner world there the voice allowed him to wander leading him around the landscape. Imaza made his way threw the world with little trouble when finally Imaza asked him his name, the voice responded very relaxed and told him his name, Hikari To Yami No Ha. As Imaza returned to the waking world he noticed the sun was rising and he wouldn't have time to make it back to the barracks without help, this was when he was taught to use his Darkness Reiatsu to create shadows to allowed him to make it back barely in time. After this moment Imaza trained in the usage of his Shikai training and learning from his Zanpakuto Spirit, after learning all he thought he could Imaza trained to refine his shikai.

    RP Sample:

    Imaza was walking through the alleyways of Rukongai, the moonlight shining giving him the appearance of a ghost.  He approached a building that was both familiar and ancient to him, it was the playhouse his old playhouse. As Imaza approached the ticket booth a voice bellowed out from behind him.

    Hey if it isn't Imaza, hows my favorite ghost doing?

    Imaza spun around and saw a large man standing behind him, this man was familiar to him. Imaza worked with this man countless times.

    how are you oki? ive been good, I managed to get into the academy

    Imaza and Oki continued to talk as they walked to where the actors were, there were several new actors and some of the vets came over and began catching up with Imaza. After some time the stage manager came out and broke up the crowd that had grown around Imaza.  Imaza waited as the play started and watched as they did the show that Imaza had done the last time he was here, the show where his life changed forever.  As the show finished Oki approached Imaza once again...

    Hey Imaza you still got that thing with sunlight? you might wanna head out its approaching dawn

    As Oki finished his sentence, Imaza bowed and ran out the back door of the playhouse, he could see the light from the sun but it was still dark or atleast dark enough for him to make it back without difficulty. As Imaza ran through the streets people began to notice him and his appearance some people just ignored him but others became frightened by him and would scream. As Imaza finally made it back to the barracks the sun peaked over the roofs and he had to dodge the rays of light as he made it back to his room. Imaza stood next to his bed, his special protective outfit laid out on his bed, Imaza sighed as he put on the garb and headed off to the first class of the day.][/color]

By pulling one paragraph from your history to supplement your RP sample, I can approve this up to 4-1. Things to change to get a higher tier:

-Just add two more paragraphs to your rp sample and you would be a good bet for 3-3 which is a rather nice tier to start off as.

Now I will grade your powers on a pass/fail basis.

Name: Extreme Reiatsu Control
Effect: -Allows Imaza to control his reiatsu to such a degree that less reiatsu can be used more often (less is more)
                - He can suppress his reiatsu
                - He can focus his reiatsu into his hands, feet, arms, etc to enhance attacks/defense
These are things every shinigami can do. You may want to change this to something more along the lines of, "Imaza can supress his reiatsu to be no greater than that of the latent reishi in the atmosphere. This allows him to remain undetected even by techniques like an arrancar's pesquisa. He can also shape reiatsu used to enhance his limbs to increase the range of his attack. Even if an opponent dodges by a few inches they will still be hit by his reiatsu effectively making all his attacks 3 inches "bigger"."

Do you see how that is a better and more elaborate description? You don't have to use that word for word, but it is a good example.


Technique Name: Seishin-tekina chikara no tatakai: Kage no michi (Spiritual Power Fighting: Way Of The Shadow)
Technique Description: Reiatsu Enhanced Leg Strikes, Charges for one post, lasts for three posts and cools down for two posts

Technique Effect Chart:

*The effect chart is for damage, durability, or any other after effect of a technique. The damage/effect/etc will be based off of tiers.*
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: Opponent suffers broken Bones or knocked unconscience
Opponent is One Tier Lower: dislocated joints where contact made, bruising is a definate
Opponent is Equal Tier: Balances out red marks or a bruise will appear on both combatants
Opponent is One Tier Higher: blocked easier with appearance of red marks to little physical effect.
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: Easily blocked little or no effect on opponent
You could mix this with the way of the fist technique. It would free up a technique slot Wink


Technique Name: Seishin-tekina chikara no tatakai: Sanda no michi (Spiritual Power Fighting: The Way Of Thunder
Technique Description: Reiatsu Enhanced Sword Strikes, Charges for one post, lasts for three posts and cools down for two posts

Technique Effect Chart:

*The effect chart is for damage, durability, or any other after effect of a technique. The damage/effect/etc will be based off of tiers.*
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: Devastating strikes either pushing opponent away, downward or disarming. If cut slices clean through
Opponent is One Tier Lower: Pushes opponent back struggling slightly, If cut slices deeply
Opponent is Equal Tier: Equal footing, shallow cutting power
Opponent is One Tier Higher: Opponent blocks easier and Strikes appear deliberate
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: The sword strikes have little to no effect on opponent and are easily blocked
Just want to make it known that while you could make the punches and kicks the same technique, this should still be separate. So don't try to merge all three.

The only other things to mention is that you won't have bankai yet or control over your mask. Your mask turns should all be set to 0. You will be offered chances to gain mask control by being active and participating in the rp. As for bankai, you are allowed to train and earn it at tier 3-1.
